Another great location for coffee provided by Upshot! The atmosphere is great, especially if you love vinyl records and everything HiFi. The barista was exuberant and a joy to talk with in the morning!

Upshot Coffee HiFi in Clayton on Maryland is a cute little place to grab a coffee. There is very limited seating inside where music is being played from a collection of albums that’s out on the shelves (see pictures). My wife and I both liked our drinks and for a busy Saturday morning felt the service was efficient.
We did not order any kind of food so I’m unable to provide comment about their offerings.
The music/hi-fi theme is part of the decor. Due to the tight seating and volume of the music, we did not sit down to enjoy our beverages. Although there is seating outside, the weather was not hospitable and we also didn’t sit outside at one of the tables on the sidewalk. Given this shop is on a busy street sitting outside this coffee shop probably isn’t optimal if quiet or a conversation is on the agenda.
The environment/ atmosphere (vibe) is definitely suited to a younger demographic. As you’ll see in the pictures you’re not going to have a private conversation or quiet. If you’re looking for a coffee shop to sit down, enjoy your beverage and talk or read a book, this is not the place for you.
We felt the price of the beverages that we had was definitely skewed to the Clayton clientele. It’s unlikely we will return, but I think the concept and product they’re putting out could be appealing to a different demographic.

I love to get an afternoon coffee here, however as of late I feel like something has changed. The coffees used to be very flavorful, and now they just taste the same no matter what way I have it made. Are the syrups weaker now? Less of it?

Only had an oat milk espresso on this trip. Very good. I really like upshot at cottleville and am pumped they have a location here.
Dig the location and music vibe. Would be ok if they had someone spinning records live, but that’s an expense.

Rayna is amazing..personable & kind. Im moving to TX and gonna miss this little gem of a cool place. Only been here twice but love it! And I suggest trying my own fave: coffee with two shots expresso, lavender, oat milk & honey.

Very good latte. Im known for not drinking the lattes I get. I stay away from acidic coffees. This one was great. Stay away from the ham & cheese waffle/croissant. Its too good to only have one, totally addictive. More so with the cinnamon flavored pickle.
Lovely little spot! Super vibey and the coffee is FANTASTIC! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a spot to chill and enjoy some great tunes!

the staff is so friendly, patient and kind. my mom and i stopped and got a cappuccino, latte and tried their quiche. so good!! the vibes are great ❤️
Also, if you get your drinks as dine-in, they have tons of hot and cold to-go cups!

The indoor seating area is on the smaller side with little space between tables, but I had planned to take my order to go anyway. I like the seasonal drink options and the vibe of the shop. The seasonal matcha was delicious!
