This off-the-beaten-path watering hole was a welcomed delight, both for the refreshing and flavorful German inspired drafts, as well as the down to earth customer service. The military inspired beers both tickle your taste buds and your funny bone. This is a must-see for locals and travelers alike.

Food was quick, hot, and plentiful. Beer was good, the staff were nice and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Would certainly come back!

Ok so hear me out this is not on your path but you need to make a detour. They had a great selection of beers. All that I had were really good. The Frick burger was terrific. Then they topped it off with some music bingo when we were there. Quite a fun night.

Best beer selection and food is incredible!! Totally worth going out of the way to experience this brewery! Try the lickey chewy cream ale and the cheese dip and schnitzel fingers for the best experience in my opinion! I've traveled the country and never had anything like it! So good!

Upon discovering POG existed by playing around on Google Maps and then reading the plentiful, wonderful reviews, off we went to adventure a few miles south of KC to a land called Cleveland, Missouri. The four year old building is clean and well taken care of.The staff was eager to please in every way possible. The beers were cold and quite flavorful, and we were extremely tempted to get the famous 15 beer flight. As for the creative menu items...top knotch indeed. We couldn't get enough of the Apricot Cheese Dip. Warm, crispy, homemade chips were a great compliment to the brews, and the three cheese dip was delightful.Next, we enjoyed the Frikadellen with a side of gravy recommended by the fantastic woman who helped us all the way.We purchased an order of chicken wings along with some High and Tight Chocolate cake and a slice of homemade apple pie for our enjoyment at home.It was a Sunday afternoon, and customers, both regulars and newbys such as us, were strolling in the entire time we were bellied up to the bar. We enjoyed this place and left feeling as if we had made new friends. Thanks, POG, for doing it up right. Perhaps we'll see you during your annual Forth of July extravaganza!?

Incredible. 100% worth the short trip off the highway. Great selection of in house brews to try and fantastic German-style food. Friendly staff just top off an all-around terrific experience. Highly recommend!

Sam was very accommodating and friendly. We went through the whole beer lost and POG is up there with some of the best breweries in the KC area. The food menu was quite unique. Everything we had was phenomenal.

The food is fantastic and the servers and bartenders are so nice. It's fun outside when the weather is nice, too.

Great food, great beer. Friendly staff! Must stop if you are in the area.

Great wait staff but the beers are average with the porter the best in my opinion. Too many other breweries to visit before you drive this far south.

First time there and the food was five star, it was unique and not the same old bar food, it was fantastic! Their beer was outstanding and can’t wait to try their other brews!! It was a busy evening with service but we will be going back and would highly recommend!!

Love this place! Large number of beers on tap with a variety of styles. Leans towards German styles yet there's still ipas and stouts. Cool food menu with German influenced dishes.
