Smith's Restaurant Reviews
For years on our way to Branson we’ve stopped at Smith’s for lunch. The food, pies, cobblers and especially the tenderloins have been wonderful. For this Smith’s gets 5 stars. However, the bathrooms need help, lots of it. For starters, they are in desperate need of cleaning(I speak for women’s. New flooring, new toilets, a soap dispenser attached to the wall, paper towels in a dispenser, lighting, painting…all of this would make the total eating experience here 5 stars....read full review
Had the open faced beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. We asked if we could have a 1/2 order each. When I left to pay I thought the bill was rather high so I asked about it. The full is $16.99. The half order is $14.99!! They should tell you up front what a half order is going to cost. The half order cost isn’t on the menu or you’d see. Of course we’d have had the full order and then taken the rest home for supper. I felt deceived and ripped off.
If you really like…and are very hungry order 2 biscuits and gravy….and nothing else….although all is good…and see if you can finish them….top it off with one pancake…. Great food!

Smith's Restaurant is a classic family spot with great food. They offer delicious options like fried pork tenderloin sandwiches, fried mushrooms, and pies or cobblers. The restaurant has vegetarian options and is very kid-friendly with plenty of parking. Despite its humble appearance, the food is fresh and homemade, with blackened tenderloin and country-fried steak being highlights. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring quick seating and service, often getting meals out in less than 40 minutes. Guests frequently enjoy the buffet, with fried chicken and catfish being favorites, and mashed potatoes and gravy standing out as the star of the buffet. Desserts like blackberry cobbler and peach cobbler are highly recommended, often taken to go. The location is convenient, right off the highway, and the restaurant only accepts cash, but an ATM is available inside. Servings are generous, with tasty burgers, western hash browns, and hearty meals that keep visitors coming back. Overall, Smith's Restaurant is a hidden gem worth visiting for a satisfying and hearty meal.
