What a unique and fun menu! Love all the amazing and creative food options. We tried both thr cheese and neat boards, the cheeses were absolutely incredible!
We tried the hummus amd the seafood chowder also. The chowder might have been the best thing I had this night!
Hubby tried the lamb chop special which was perfectly cooked. Our friends tried the burger and said it was very good. They were hoping for a pasta they had there previously but they switched the variety of pasta so had wished they had the previous option, but were happy with the burger. We tried the strip steak and tall potatoes and both were excellent.
I tried their alcoholic soda which is fresh squeezed juices mixed with yoir choice of spirit, I wasn't a fan, but thats OK! Everything else was delish!!
We were too full for dessert but we would come back again if we pass through!

Family enjoyed the food. The desserts were excellent! Waitress kept our drinks full at all times. Good experience. Just remember to check the website for the menu as it changes frequently.

This place has a great ambiance and a great vision. However the execution is lacking. They charge a premium price for food this is unfortunately only mediocre. It sucks a lot that the food did not taste better because I really wanted to love this place, but I got three dishes and none of them had a heavy impact on me and I just found myself regretting the price that I paid for the experience I had.

Amazing grub. Filled me up, emptied my wallet, made me question life's ultimate answers and debate the relative merit of existence versus annihilation. Excellent whiskey menu. Jeff was a delight. Thanks to Anna as well for top-notch recommendations for the local nightlife. Hopefully we'll be back soon for round 2. 👍👍👍

My husband and I are visiting family in Columbia and we read about Barred Owl online. We went there tonight and had the most wonderful dining experience! Our server Jasmin was perfect in every way. Living in San Francisco, we know good food/restaurants. I only WISH this restaurant was located in San Francisco! Every bite of everything we ordered was perfection! We started with the pimiento cheese with rum-cured country ham and then we shared the turducken banh mi sandwich (so inventive!) and the rabbit cassoulet.

Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Had the wagyu cheeseburger, chili, Mac & cheese, and split the cheese board. No complaints on any of the food- everything was fresh, as described, and exceeded expectations. It made me do a happy dance ☺️. Cocktails were fairly priced and came out in a reasonable time.

We ordered both boards offered on the menu, the warm olives and french fries. Everything was so good! Our server explained both boards in detail for us as well as answered our questions. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. This was a meal for a girls night out and it was everything I had hoped it would be!

Went here today for dinner while waiting for the mechanic. It was absolutely delicious. We got the sweet potato hummus that felt both sweet and savory, served with warm pita. We split the hearty and fresh pot roast and the OMT (named after Old Man Tom - who was their oldest employer - still alive at that time) sandwich which also seemed to balance freshness and crunchy texture with sinfully goodness and homemade feels, like an elevated version of what your mom would make you in your lunchbox RE: the (fat slice) of bologna. Squishy bun and the same fry type as McD’s with (3) options of dipping. We opted for the black garlic aioli and good old fashioned ketchup.
Service was lovely; felt humane and attentive without being overbearing. The Fitz’s root beer was low carbonated with high flavor. YUM. Would strongly recommend for a “nicer” meal along your way. It was under a hundo buckeroos including tip for not only a wonderful experience off road, but a meal in a nice establishment you’ll gladly pay for that feels familiar enough with its mom’s cookin’ vibe meets nicer than you’d make yourself along the road (imagine the save in all the clean up).
Beautiful break away from the road while we waited. I’ll never forget THE HUMMUS.

Spectacular meal! The menu changes, and we will be back to sample as often as we can! We were fortunate to be seated next to the table with a farmer that supplies some of the meats. Everything from the atmosphere, service, conversation, and especially the food was grand!
