We were seated next to the wine cooler and walk in cooler. We were cold the whole time. The same day reservations is a joke. No one does that. Our waiter was excellent. Very mediocre experience for the money spent.

We come to CC's every holiday season. The wait staff and support staff are always phenomenal and again were. BUT, our last trip in, the food quality and preparation trended downward. For 4 people and a $250 price tag, usually the food is better. Our filet's were dry, potato hard and the salads have shrunk. The squash and zucchini were very ordinary and firm. I'll chalk it up as we just got unlucky and the next time in, it will be as we remembered.

I’ve always been a fan of this place but their reservation system is the most archaic uncustomer friendly thing that exists. Join the modern times and take reservations in a way that doesn’t waste over two hours getting busy signals or a voicemail you don’t answer. How much staff time is wasted on something that could be done online? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
You call all day and they won’t answer . U can’t leave a message ,u can’t get a reservation. It’s says even when we are busy there is no wait . You drive along way, show up and they say it will be at least 2 hours. How can u run a business like that ??

Great food and wait staff. Unfortunately will not be returning due to their unspoken 90 minute seating rule. We hadn't finished our drinks or dessert and were asked to leave at the 90 minute mark. Our tab was well over $500. Very unfortunate practice. The host interrupted us and asked us to leave even though there were 4-5 open tables because "another party was waiting".

Let me tell you this is the Best Steakhouse in the State of Missouri if not the Nation. I've been to the best steakhouses in New York, Omaha and Kansas City and this is still at the top!
By far the best steak in mid mo. I had the Wagyu Beef Filet and it was perfect! Amazing service and cooked to perfection.
Update 11/24
Victor was impeccable in his service, ensuring our meal was just as perfect as every time we stop in. The steak was obviously perfect, and the jalapeno twice baked potato was as creamy and excellent as ever, and the goat cheese croquettes were absolutely delicious. I'd be remiss in not recommending that you ask for Victor when you stop by, as he will ensure your night is as special as it should be!

My wife and I dined at CC's last night, on our 43rd wedding anniversary. We were first-timers here, and the experience was top-notch. The food was excellent, the wait staff was on their toes, and the atmosphere was good enough. We both ordered the 12 oz. strips, which were cooked exactly to our liking; the salads were creative and delicious; and the side dishes of pea pods were a really refreshing break from the usual "autumn mix," so extra kudos to the chef for that. We also ordered an extra-cost side of jalapeno twice baked potato to share, which was more than enough for two, and was frankly tastier than we expected; definitely worth it. My wife ordered wine that she was familiar with and loved it. My cocktail was also blended exactly the way I make it at home. Kyle gave us excellent service from start to finish, and was very gracious with a dessert to take home when he learned it was our anniversary. Good man! The atmosphere was only OK due to a table of four men who were far louder than they needed to be, but once they had food in their mouths the din decreased. And besides, that's not the restaurant's fault anyway.
Two minor things, however...First, we agree totally with those reviewers who mention the antiquated and time-wasting reservation system. For those, like us, who want to plan an event for a specific evening, getting through on the phone, and only at 11 a.m., is a crapshoot. We've tried several times over the last eight months to get through to no avail, even with both of us calling separately. Imagine the surprise when we actually did connect, and on our anniversary, no less. We weren't even going to attempt it but wanted to use a gift card we've had for months. Be advised to have a backup plan!
Secondly, the wait staff seemed to be in a huge hurry to clear the table while we were eating, as in taking the bread plates and butter knives when there was still uneaten bread on them, and a half loaf still on the bread board. This happened several times until I asked why the rush...Kyle seemed surprised to hear a customer push back and things were better after that. Still, we've never eaten in a "nice" restaurant that did this. We felt it was odd, and intrusive. We can only guess that the owner has instructed his staff to do this. Why, we don't know. Will that keep us from returning? No. I'll just tell them "hands off please." Will the reservation method keep us from returning? Maybe, but that would be the owner's fault, not ours.

Restaurantji Recommends
Brought a large group of nine people for dinner last night and service was excellent. The ambiance was so great. The staff was very professional and courteous. Presentation of the food was a nice little treat. I highly recommend this restaurant! The reservation process seemed intimidating but after a few tries, my call got through and I was able to successfully make a reservation.
Best restaurant I have ever been to. Great atmosphere and even better food!! The waiters are above and beyond ( Thanks T!!)

What a unique and relaxing atmosphere! The restaurant has an intimate setting with smaller tables and lights low. The food was delicious!!!! Staff attentive and pleasant.

My husband and I came for a date night here for his birthday. We only had a babysitter for a limited time and had a 7:00 reservation. We didn’t get seated until about 7:15 - okay not a big deal. We then ordered appetizers and steaks. The appetizer came out after a very long time. Our steaks didn’t come out until almost an hour after we ordeeed. Both steaks were cold as if they’d been sitting out for a long time. They were also both extremely overcooked—we both ordered medium and received tough and chewy well done steaks, that was honestly the worst steak I’ve ever had. At this point we also only had like 10 minutes to scarf down our food. We were stressed and rushed the entire time and had an extremely unpleasant experience. We’ve been here several times before and always had a good experience. But for an almost $200 meal and how horrible of a night it was, we vowed to never return again and told every single one of our friends about it. Maybe it was an off night for the restaurant, but the disappointment we felt in the waste of time, money, and effort we put into finding care for our child so we could enjoy some time together and celebrate, left us to say no more CC’s here on out. You’re much better off spending less money somewhere else.
Forgot to add that our waitress was super nice, but no one tried to resolve or even was apologetic about any of the issues that arose.
