Just as amazing as the original restaurant. The food was fresh and tasted great. The server was very pleasant and attentive. The entire restaurant was very clean and organized. We were seated right away and received our food in a timely manner. Hands down, my favorite place to eat.

Quick service, friendly staff, roomy seating, wide variety of smoked meats, wide variety of dishes to choose from, comparable pricing, delicious food, good BBQ sauces, good bar options. In my top 3 BBQ places ever. Highly recommend.

Trip #2 to Como Smoke South. My wife and I trek from Georgia to Columbia to visit my folks, and as a bbq aficionado, we make it a point to trek 3 hours out of our way to hit Memphis, and we used to ride out to KC each year to hit Slapz, which I still think has the best burnt ends in the country. But that has changed. We stole a lot of time from the bartender, Josh, who kept a smile on his face the whole time and made sure we were dialed in on any and all information we asked for. Excellent service. The smoked turkey here is insane. Best turkey I've ever had, twice. Juicy, flavorful, smokey. Perfect.Okra is fried to perfection, again, not greasy, with an awesome sauce. The baked beans were peppery and thick and some of the best I've had, as I'm not a huge fan of the overly sweet sugary baked beans. The coup de gras were these Reuben Egg rolls. Not for everyone, I'm sure, but they were about the best thing I could have come to hope for as a surprise special.Burnt ends this time were a bit fatty for my taste, with good flavor, and the brisket was a bit dry, but their little heat bbq sauce is amazing, and turned it into utter deliciousness.Avoid the Mac, order the loaded potato salad.BEST BBQ IN THE COUNTRY? No, but, the best I've had outside of KC, Memphis, and a few spots in Texas.

Got the Smoked Wings and the Burnt Ends. Both fantastic. Probably the best wings in Columbia. Burnt Ends were cooked perfectly.

Smaller than the other location in town. But that's definitely not a bad thing, easier to connect immediately with the atmosphere and enjoy the food.

Como Smoke and Fire: Southside Marvel with Irresistible Extras! My recent visit to Como Smoke and Fire on the Southside of Columbia was an absolute culinary delight. This gem of a spot not only boasts mouthwatering sandwiches and exceptional smoked barbecue but also treats its patrons to some delightful extras. The burgers and sandwiches, undoubtedly the stars of the show, deliver flavors that linger in your memory long after you've left. As an added bonus, their seasonal lavender lemonade was a refreshing and unique beverage choice that added to the overall experience. What truly elevates the dining experience at Como Smoke and Fire are the sides - the house-made chips are a crunchy delight, and the homemade sauces available for purchase bring an extra layer of flavor to the table. This attention to detail sets this establishment apart. Navigating the parking lot was a breeze, and the consistently good service made the entire visit even more enjoyable. If you're seeking top-notch sandwiches, smoked barbecue, and delightful extras like house-made chips and flavorful sauces, Como Smoke and Fire on the Southside of Columbia is a definite recommendation.

The best BBQ I have had in Columbia! The pulled pork plate was delicious with a great smoky flavor. The fries were crispy. The brisket nachos were yummy and very loaded. We probably could have split either of those dishes and it would have been enough food. Price is good for the taste and portion sizes.

After having eaten at Como Smoke and Fire's north location, I looked forward to eating at the newer south location. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened at 11:00 on a Saturday. I ordered the rib tips sandwich and my wife ordered a Cuban sandwich. The service was excellent, but the food (unlike the north location) was sorely lacking. My rib tips were almost completely dried out. Chewy at best, and much of the meat was simply dry and tough. My wife's macaroni and cheese side was overcooked to the point of being tasteless. It was as if we were being fed leftovers from the preceding Friday night.I grew up and lived in Kansas City for many years. I've eaten plenty of, and know good barbecue. This was not good barbecue. After having an excellent brisket sandwich and sausage with sides at the Paris Road location in the past, the south location was definitely a disappointment.
