Our server was top notch! She paid special attention to my mom who has alpha gal and serious food sensitivities!

Good food, bad service. It seems this way no matter what time I go or if it is even busy.

Good food, good friends! Perfect morning š
Server forgot to turn in our order and had to wait extra time while other customers were served that arrived after us. When food arrived, m one order had meat that should have been vege only. Spouse finished his meal before the correct item was served. A bit frustrating and no compensation for the mistake. On the positive, food tasted great.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning. The restaurant was clean, the waiter was friendly and efficient. He was the right amount of attentive and giving us space to visit. The food was good, served quickly and hot. They even let us change tables when we realized the sun would be in our eyes for the most of our visit. My favorite menu item is avocado toast.

I met a large group (12+) of my family members for a Saturday morning breakfast at First Watch. It was my first time dining here. We were able to sit in a private meeting room and the staff even turned the music off for us after we asked. We received excellent service. I was surprised with how quickly our food came out as the restaurant was steadily busy. The orders came out hot and everyone was satisfied with their meals. People in my group ordered the following: chocolate chip pancake, benedict BLT on gluten-free toast, cheesecake donuts with nutella, double bacon parmesan hash, fresh fruit, and a honey caramel crunch iced coffee.

Short Story: LIVE LARVAE found in food
I wish I could rate a zero. I am college student so I am not the type to write reviews of any kind of restaurants. Iām a server too so I understand more than most how busy the food industry can get.
But this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever experienced or even heard of. I feel I need to express my frustrations somehow since no one would talk to me there.
We first walked in and could see that it was busy. No big deal though we didnāt mind waiting, especially because I have always liked First Watch. Just the two of us wanting a Sunday brunch. Then we were told we could be seated right now if we sat at the bar, which seemed great. After being seated, it then took A FULL 22 MINUTES for anyone to acknowledge our existence. My boyfriend had to stop another staff, we believe the host, and say can we get a server for any action to be taken.
We ordered our food and the seasonal donut holes as an app. took another 20 minutes for any food to reach us. The donut holes came first, which I immediately saw had a HAIR FRIED INTO IT. I was grossed out and wanted to mention it to a server, but it was clear no one was going to come to us and check in, so we moved it aside and kept eating.
Here comes the kicker. Our entrees came, I was missing a side I ordered with my food, but figured it was fine as long as it wasnāt on the bill. My boyfriend then notices the mixed greens that came with his sandwich do not have any sort of dressing on and are quite dry (would have asked for something but again no server is checking on us) and eats it anyway.
For the cherry on top, at the bottom of his salad is a live green larvae. I was immediately sick to my stomach. I looked it up and google seemed to think it was a caterpillar larvae. We flagged down a server to show her, got a quick āoh wow let me bring this backā.
That was it. No āIām so sorry, I canāt believe this, let me take care of this for you, Iāll get the manager, etc etc etcā. I truly donāt remember ever getting an apology. Then another server comes over, rudely drops a check down and says āwe took off everything but the alcoholā (which was one mimosa) and walks away. That just sealed my anger. I had asked to speak to someone in charge just to talk about the rude service and food experience we were having and got nothing. A live worm found in someoneās meal deserves a manager no matter how you look at it.
Someone eventually came over and said you guys are good to go and that the whole bill was taken care of. I think it was mainly just to get us out of there, no real solution to the problem.
Shocked is an understatement. I went grocery shopping afterwards and still felt sick to my stomach looking at any food. Somebody in charge should have come up to us and apologized.
