The cafeteria run by fresh ideas at the Veterans United Jake campus does not serve clean food. On more than 10 occasions I have found bugs, flies, and dirt on the lettuce in the salad bar. Several people have become ill eating in this cafeteria.

Hi I use to eat at the Subway here at Louisiana Athletic Club , not anymore. I quit a while back. I work across the hall . A couple of our members wanted a sandwich at 10:59am they don't open until 11 now but for years they opened at 10 they weren't use to it yet, they said are the Subway employees late today, the employee yelled out we don't open until 11 and not in a nice way I haven't ate there since. They also place a sign on the window that we couldn't get ice anymore until they opened which was fine. Today a member of ours had smashed his finger and asked for a little cup of ice he was refused a cup of ice, by the way he was a regular customer. He didn't want in just a small cup of ice for his finger. I did go and tell my manager about it because I thought it was just sad that he couldn't get the little cup of ice. This Subway doesn't have a door just a gate and it was unlocked all she had to do was hand him a little cup of ice which we have here she just needed to put ice in it. When I got back to my desk I heard her talking to her managers about it but she was not telling like it really went down. By the way it was same employee both times.

There institutional food service is of poor quality and very bland. Would not recommend them for use by anyone. Only got one star because zero stars was not an option.

Worked for this company up until management started to fabricate storys then allowed one employee to scream at others about a very small issue and they do not back thier employees and play favorites and on multiple occasions i witnessed bad or expired food product used because they did not order correctly or enough

I have eaten at the cafeteria this company serves and each time I am very disappointed. The food was cold when it should have been hot, it tastes bland, the pizza even tasted weird. Best thing this place serves is salad and cereal for students. Also manager was rude to a friend of mine. Never eat for them here. It sucks

Worked in food service for almost 10 years. Went back to school where Fresh ideas is the lunch provider. This service is an absolute joke: Terrible management, slow and incompetent cooks, very over priced with small portions.

Central Bank of Boone County hired Fresh Ideas for a reception with less than two weeks notice and they did a fantastic job on short notice. We had 6 small bites and they donated one due to the fundraising nature of the event. They were easy to work with and managed to help me turn a bank lobby into a reception hall with a short 30 minute period of time. The prices were reasonable and everyone we worked with was nice and professional. I would highly recommend for future catering needs.

I have had the pleasure of working with an amazing team of people in our dining and catering department at Judson University. Everyone is great to work with and Scott & Susan are the mortar that keeps the foundation together in that department. Their professionalism, superb organization and incredible work ethic are just a couple of things that stand out when. One of my responsibilities is an event organizer for the athletics department. They make me look good every time! Even if my vision is not doable, Scott & Susan make suggestions and helps me get to an even better outcome. Dependable, hard-working, great character, funny, kind; I could go on. Mostly I appreciate working beside them because they are great teammates.

Fresh Ideas did an amazing job for The Spay Neuter Project's Spay-ghetti Dinner. The food is always delicious and people loved having the spaghetti squash option. And the salad is wonderful! Chef Conrad and the staff did a wonderful job with the presentation and preparation of the food. Thank you Fresh Ideas for helping make our dinner a success!

I had a very mixed experience with Fresh Ideas for my wedding. Bear with me, this is long but I feel my experience would be informative to future brides. My husband and I decided to use Westminster College in Fulton as our wedding and reception venue and we're from the STL metro area. The venue was really incredible however, I was hesitant from the get go because they told me we had to use the on-campus catering company. I understood but I don't like being boxed in to being forced to use someone because service can be iffy if they know you have to use them. Anyway, I started planning early and communication was off and on. Everyone was really nice, but we couldn't get on the same page and I understand everyone was busy and I was aware of some staffing changes. However, after 4 months of trying to schedule a tasting, we finally got a date and my mom and I made a 2 hour trip one weekend for a tasting to meet up and try the food. Somewhere in communication with the girl we were working with, she totally dismissed the tasting and forgot about it. So as a result I never got to try the food before our wedding. We discussed table layouts which I felt I could've done over the phone. So that was a little scary for me to not be able to try the food before our wedding. The planning process was a little messy. There weren't a lot of points in time where I felt confident they understood what I was wanting to do. I wanted an open bar with beer, wine and liquor. The lady I was working with kept sending me contracts with a consumption based bar. I had to send about 4 different emails just to feel we were just reading the same book even if we weren’t on the same page.Flash forward to the wedding day, my parents had given payment information on the Monday before the Saturday wedding. On Friday and Saturday (my rehearsal and my wedding day), we were getting into town and were extremely busy to say the least. The lady we were working with kept trying to contact me for payment information even though I had sent her contact information to a friend of mine who was coordinating everything and she had my parents’ contact information. So at the actual reception, I, the bride, went up to get a drink and the bartender informed me they were only serving beer and wine. This made me irate because this was the ONE thing I had tried to make perfectly clear was what we were doing with the bar. I went and found our girl and asked her what the heck was going on because it should be an open bar with liquor and that’s what we paid for. She went and checked the contract and told me I was correct and got the liquor out.The food itself was really excellent. Which is why I would be okay with suggesting other people use them. We had a buffet and served chicken suprema with green beans almondine, roasted potatoes, and a strawberry salad. Every item tasted really good and could hold its own the plate. They didn’t charge a cake cutting fee which I really appreciated and were accommodating to my other vendors and they boxed up all the excess cake which was extremely helpful. They did make up for the bar mishap and gave us a couple options to remedy the situation. It was just a lot of headache and I felt I had to be on top of the situation at all times and never felt like I could relax and trust them with any of the details. I felt like a bridezilla with her even though I just wanted to be sure we were getting what we were paying for and expecting. There were a few extenuating circumstances that I was trying to be understanding of but it was just little thing after little thing that drove me really crazy. I loved all my other vendors so I was thankful that pretty much everything else went right with my vendors so I could focus on this one. They were always nice and the food was good. Just seemed pretty unorganized and mistakes were made and they were remedied.
