For what I had it was to expensive for a breakfast

Food is usually pretty great if they have what you want to order. Has taken ten minutes before to even be offered water after being given a table.

We decided to visit on a whim and ended up enjoying every minute of it!!!

Hands down, this place was awesome. The hostess immediately acknowledged my husband and I, the entire staff was friendly, and catered to our needs. We were given complimentary champagne and the food was delicious. We sat a window seat and was able to enjoy the scenery outdoors and inside. Overall, this is a place that you will enjoy. They also give you a postcard and this little personal effect is great. It is a little costly but well deserved. My total came out to $67 for Shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles with a side order of scrambled cheese eggs, mimosa, and sweet tea. I also left a hefty tip because I believe in paying well deserved servers.

Ran out of entrees at 7.30. Table seated same time as us got their dinner b4 we received drinks. Nothing else to say.

Charging customers for Employee Healthcare Fund is stupid. They aren’t my employees, so why should I be obligated to pay this?

Really nice New Orleans themed restaurant. We had Sunday brunch. Prices were reasonable. Between $14 and 20 per entree. Everything was better than expected. The eggs were poached perfectly. The seafood/crab cake was as good or better than I've had anywhere else. The quiche was super. Our server was sweet and well organized. They take reservations which made everything easy. The decor was nice. The temperature inside was just right on a January morning.

Dining room was so loud that we chose to sit in the bar. While it was quieter, the bartender could not keep up with preparing drinks and serving his tables timely. The oysters were the smallest that I have ever seen. They were the size of my small thumbnail. We asked our waiter if the Jambalaya was spicy. He responded with “Not too spricy for white people” which was confusing. Overall the food was very underwhelming and the service was poor.

French onion soup tasted like thanksgiving stuffing. I didn’t like it. Sweet potato fries came with spicy seasoning that burned my mouth. My husband said my $19 burger was better than his $59 steak. The chicken on top of our daughter’s Mac and cheese was bland. We loved the cornbread and the burger. Wished we had split one burger and skipped everything else. Food looks pretty, doesn’t taste good.

We found the food ok, but spicy and quite pricey. No warning in the menu. We probably won't go back.

We arrived at a time when a couple of larger parties were seated. Consequently, the noise level was pretty high. Otherwise, the dining area is pleasant and comfortable. Our server was very good. She was busy with one of the larger groups; but, she took a moment to let us know she would be with us as soon as she could. Once she got us started her service was very good. The presentation of the food was nice; however, the food itself was a disappointment. My husband had the jambalaya and it was 3.5/5... too much sauce. However, if you like spicy, it was spicy. The cornbread tasted mediocre as if it was out of a box. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the chicken was cooked to where it was moist; but, it was tasteless. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor as well. What did help the meal was the gravy on top of the chicken and potatoes; but, I would have preferred to not depend on the gravy to get me through the meal. The garden salad was great in flavor! We shared a slice of carrot cake. That was very disappointing. It was heavy and again, lacked a carrot cake flavor...probably due to the heaviness of the cake. They were out of ice cream, so whip cream was substituted; but, it wasn't enough to get the carrot cake down. Overall, I am glad we gave it a try. Not sure if we would dine there again.

We were a family group for Thanksgiving. It was very pricey for a very limited menu, so we were expecting alot. The food was disappointing. Nothing was hot, nothing. The turkey had a spicy rub that was not expected, as it wasn't indicated on the menu. People need to know if spicy is coming their way so they can avoid if needed. Pie crust was difficult to cut thru, and choc cake very dry. For a bill of $145 for TWO people, this was a Thanksgiving fail.

We stayed at the hotel and needed to eat quick so we tried calling Glenn’s at 4:20pm to order takeout. They didn’t answer. We called a few times. Went down to order at the desk and were taken care of quickly. We got salads and fries and had to eat super fast at the bar so we could make our show down the street. Not horrible. Food was ok. We were missing some smashed Yukons but we weren’t worried about it.

The next morning we went down and ordered takeout for breakfast. This is where it turns…… I’m not sure if the chef thinks adding crawfish to a plate makes it Cajun but it doesn’t. And what the heck is happening with the biscuits and gravy? It was cold. We’re only on the 2nd floor, mind you. It tastes awful. It’s tough to mess up something so simple and inexpensive to make. Yet, here we are, paying $8 for 2 trash biscuits and vomit flavored gravy. Absolutely disgusting. The other dishes were ok, but lacked seasoning and flavor.

The service was the best part about the cafe. Pay the servers more. They’re keeping the rest of you in jobs, because the food definitely isn’t.

Overall less than subpar experiences with Glenn’s. “A staple in Missouri” can’t get a staple in America on the plate properly. Fix the gravy, buds. That’s just embarrassing.
