Man. Such a letdown. I recently moved back to Columbia after having been gone 3+ years. I was so excited to hit up Harold's, as in the past, I had nothing but amazing encounters with the staff; and the obvious (donuts). The homecoming was not as spectacular as I had anticipated. I’m honestly not sure if the 3 people working there were (all) having a bad day. I get it. Being human does come with its ups and downs. . But man… They weren’t very friendly. Engagement seemed like a foreign concept. They honestly seemed very … dissatisfied. It was odd. Not what I was expecting to say the least.

Were out of nearly all flavors hours before closing time. Wouldn’t be as bothered if we didn’t have to sit in a 30 minute drive thru line to find out because they don’t post when they are out of things and for some the reason the inside is still closed. Not 1 star because donuts were still good

We love Harold’s! Their doughnuts are made with the freshest ingredients and it shows. We were so glad to get back to “our donut shop” when they re-opened.

Picked up doughnuts this morning the moment they opened and our doughnuts tasted old, hard and were cold. The Boston cream was just filled with whipped cream.

Ordered Harold's doughnuts online through their website at about 7:15am and showed up at 8:15am to pick them up. They said that they don't check the online orders, and out of the four doughnuts I ordered, they only had one type left. I had already paid for the doughnuts online, so I had to pick from the other options left. Very disappointing that they don't prepare more doughnuts ahead of time considering that's the main thing they sell. Seeing other comments, I can tell this is a regular occurrence. If you're going to buy Harold's doughnuts, I guess you should show up right when they open to get what you want because they're out in two hours. On an unrelated note, I'm curious why there are always cars at the back of the store when I drive by at 1 am......

Poorly run establishment. We put in a $40 donut order and weren't able to pick it up during business hours because they decided to close early. They made no effort to contact us. Do not make plans with this business.

Very good donuts!Despite not preferring cake donuts I really enjoy the offerings at Harold’s. They are a bit expensive, but I’d call them “artisinal” and worth the extra price. Many of them have very creative twists and I enjoyed the blueberry citrus donut. Sadly, their drive through line is often very long and they are almost always out of their most popular donuts by 9 am. They say they normally don’t have kolaches, but sometimes will for special events. I had the opportunity to try a buffalo chicken kolache that they made in collaboration with Coley’s, and while the buffalo chicken was disgusting the bread of the kolache was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Hope to see the regularly varieties more often!

My favorite donuts in Como! They have really unique flavors and are always fresh. Not too pricey, even with all of their specialty options.

My favorite place to go grab some doughnuts during my time in college. I miss this place and can't wait to come back to CoMo for another visit.

First time at Harold's today. Sat in the drive-through line for a full 30 minutes while they serve the seven cars ahead of me! No way to exit line and walk in unavailable. Really really unacceptable. Worst drive through experience I've ever had. Finally got my glazed donuts -- good but nothing special. Won't try again until I can avoid the drive through.

We've been giving this place a try for a few years now and are consistently disappointed. 8:30 am today and they are out of EVERYTHING but regular and regular with cinnamon and sugar- and those are all burnt. I have no idea how this place stays in business with this false donut scarcity they create. It was understandable when they were new but now they're just leaving all the money on the table they could make. No idea why every other boutique donut shop Ive visited manages to have a good selection most of their open hours, but I wish this place would figure out how to manage that. Then they could focus on the consistency of their quality and not serve over or undercooked donuts so often. I've literally had uncooked dough in a cake donut and today's burnt excuses for donuts. Just go to Dunkin down the street and enjoy the selection.

YOU MUST TRY HAROLD'S! I really thought I had tried the best of the best donuts and then I tried Harold's and was blown away at the perfection of these donuts. They are soft and sweet donut heaven and every bite is a pillow of goodness. The cinnamon rolls have that soft and warm homemade deliciousness and the apple fritter was juicy with apple flavour! I highly recommend and will be back multiple times before leaving Columbia.

Always a tasty experience! The seasonal flavors sell out quickly each morning. The daily offerings have an excellent balance between cake and coating.I do wish the website menu was kept more up-to-date so that it was simpler to order specific delights for the whole family.
