Food was terrible. My chicken was very dry and wasn't seasoned very well. Service and atmosphere were ok.

Came here for the first time with my friends and it was delicious! I love the wide variety of options on the menu! We had a really long wait time before getting our food but the place is definitely worth a try!

A spicy bourbon chicken is always a favorite!! This is my favorite Asian lunch place in town. A ton of food at a great value. David, the owner is an amazing cook and is very helpful in picking out the perfect meal!

Used to be my favorite quit stop for lunch with my boyfriend but since they changed ownership, everything has went downhill so bad.
I’ve been a long-time customer and used to love this restaurant for its authentic Chinese flavors. However, since the change in ownership and chef, the food has completely changed. The dishes no longer taste the same—what used to be rich, traditional flavors have been replaced by something very different. It’s disappointing to see such a drastic shift, and unfortunately, it no longer feels like the Chinese restaurant I once enjoyed.
This place allowed thieves to use a stolen card from out of state. We have never been here and we only found out about this place when my husband got a fraud alert. He even keeps his card locked!

The place was disgusting it looks like it had been cleaned in weeks. There was a lot of grime and buildup in there. I was really gross. I felt gross being in there. The food was gross. Although the orange chicken sauce was nice spicy. I did not finish my plate at all, and I didn’t even want box to bring it home. The rice was stale taste like it was five days old and the chicken was plastic tasting with orange sauce on it. The eggroll tasted like a rotten rag. It was disgusting I almost threw up, very high hopes this restaurant is complete utter letdown
Definitely one of the better places in Columbia for Chinese food. Not squishy, soggy, goo like a lot of them serve.
Never heard of this place but I randomly stumbled across it. As soon as I walked in they were busy but even though they were busy they treated me like I was the only one here. Most definitely will come back!
Great food and lots of it.
I've had my fair share of Americanized Chinese food across the Midwest, and I can't say that I've ever been particularly impressed...until coming to Taste Place. I stopped by with a friend for an early Saturday dinner, and we were seated immediately, with our steaming plates of wonderful food arriving shortly after. My friend got their sesame chicken dinner combo, which she said was perfectly seasoned and had just the right levels of crispiness and crunch. She subbed out the eggroll that comes with the combo for their hot and sour soup, which she greatly enjoyed along with the fried rice. I went for one of their "special diet" menu items (which I appreciated that they had), and it was pretty standard -- steamed tofu with a heaping helping of vegetables, as well as what seemed like a giant bowl of oyster sauce on the side. The true star of the night, though, was their sesame balls. I'm usually really picky with sesame balls, but they did a phenomenal job at this place. Fried to perfection, but not overly greasy, with the perfect level of crispiness and minimal sweetness. Also, at $6.99 for 10, the price is really unbeatable. I definitely wasn't expecting to get dim sum-quality sesame balls at the Columbia Mall, but Taste Place really did not disappoint.
