I invited my father to lunch on father's day when a middle-aged Asian man came to film and talked loudly on his phone, he was probably live streaming. He was very rude and cursed at me when I didn't let him film my father and me. He said he was the owner of the restaurant. Luckily, I found his YouTube channel and I took 2 screenshots attached. I recommend that the restaurant not let YouTubers film while clients are eating
We’ve eaten at Kobe many times since moving to Columbia, but last night was THE BEST experience, and it’s 90% due to our awesome server, Cori. We always sit on the table side. Cori was attentive, super friendly, and well-spoken from the git-go. We were served drinks fast; never even have to ask for refills, and she just knew what we needed before we even asked. It’s rare to experience being served by such thoughtful and intuitive staff. My husband I commented that she might be the best server we’ve met in Columbia! Our food came quickly, and it was excellent. We will certainly go back to Kobe and hope to see Cori again!
We came in about 40 minutes before closing but they were still more than happy to sit us for hibachi. Dan gave us a great hibachi experience, super friendly and interactive. Corey was the BEST server, very attentive and happy that even though we came in late and stayed past close appreciated our business. They topped it off by bringing us free dessert. We almost ordered in but so glad we went to Kobe instead for a great dinner and experience!
The hostess was welcoming. The chef was personable, good cook and seasoned food well. The noodles are not my favorite, the vetables were phenomenal, the shrimp was fresh and big, and I liked the fried rice. I would return to this restaurant.
Had a great experience. The chief really catered to my son and cooked amazing food.
Terrible service. Waiting for someone to come to grill for over an hour. Shifty salad..and the bathroom is discussing. I want to leave but it's a birthday party....grrrr!
Went to eat at this establishment. Waited 15 mins to be acknowledged with staff walking in front of us and standing at the register in front of us. Not one of the staff acknowledged us. If they were that busy, a simple “be with you in a moment” would have been nice.

Went to kobe for my husband's birthday dinner and I will tell you it did not disappoint. I got steak and shrimp and he had salmon and steak on the hibachi and I definitely recommend trying this place if you want to try something new.

Such a let down experience. Brought our 8yo for her first time. Our chef’s personality was so bland and monotone. After hyping up the show to prepare the kiddo, we were expecting 2-3 “fires,” but there was only one in the beginning to sanitize the grill… no onion volcano or clean up fire like we’ve seen in the past. Chef had us pass around the sauce dishes and pour our own yum yum sauce from the jug, which isn’t a big deal but he was just so unengaged that it added to our negative feelings toward this experience. The minimal customer engagement, lack of jokes, and 2 “tricks” (the classic egg roll and tossing food in our mouth), made for a very underwhelming experience.

We were served a large portion of food. Our contractor (waitress) was pleasant and clarified our concerns. We had plenty left over to take back.

So very disappointed about this trip to Kobe Steakhouse in Columbia, MO for my daughters birthday. There were only 8 of us and 2 of those were kids. We ordered apps for us and no one brought any of our apps out until our food was almost done being cooked by the chef at the table. Why would we want apps then when it was time for food food??? No yum yum sauce provided to us or even asked if we would like any. The chef cooking our food was sloppy and unprofessional while cooking our food. He was totally uninterested in our food or our experience. We spent, afte leabing a tip, $400!!! We went in and they were not busy at 4:30pm 12/21/24 but had the worst experience ever! I'm super bummed because this was one of my favorite places for food and experience even at higher prices. I expected a somewhat enjoyable meal for us but got a terrible experience. They were told it was my daughters birthday when we went in to be seated and to top all the other bad off, I had to go up and remind them 2 more times. She got cheesecake as we were walking out but no free meal. Why even bother with cheesecake when we had our coats on.... What has happened to Kobes and or the staff???? Not good......
