New Mandarin House

I had the braised Fish and it was phenomenal. This place is way underhyped and is very possibly the best Chinese food I’ve had in Columbia!

The owners are nice and welcoming. We stopped in for carry out and it only took about 20 minutes to order and get our food. We ended up getting the sweet and sour beef, sweet and sour pork ribs, beef bulgogi and crab rangoon. Everything tasted amazing! The sweet and sour dishes were not overly sweet which is what I was expecting. I will be going back for more.

Very good food! Authentic Chinese cuisine!
The 1st dish “Shredded pork with fresh potherb mustard” is very rare dish around the town.
The 2nd is “minced meatball with cabbage in clear soup” is traditional dish in eastern China.
Strongly recommend their dishes.

Had stir fried cashew chicken. Very good. Enjoyed the soup and egg role too. Our waitress was very friendly. It was a nice environment to enjoy with a friend. I definitely recommend.

The best General Tso‘s chicken! And if you want veggies, just ask for the Ta-Chin. Light crispy edges with tender, juicy chicken. Excited to learn that lunch hours and specials are back!

I have enjoyed dining at the New Mandarin House for many years. Although I have tried most of the offerings on their menu, here is my favorite meal: a bowl of egg drop soup before being served Mongolian beef with white rice, a couple of spring rolls, and a cup of hot tea. I will always look forward to my next visit to the New Mandarin House.

Tiny little place. Upon entering we found the place to be empty, devoid of customers or staff. Then a woman came out from the back, and she said something we could not understand. Finally understood that she was asking if we were dine in or carry out.

Ordered our meals and waited not too awful long. After we arrived, they got real busy with call in orders and a couple other customers.

The meals arrived and they presented well, but the rice had a different flavor than any I've ever had, and not in a real good way either. The carrots in my meal were way under cooked and the spice level of the entree left a lot to the imagination.

Both entrees had a decent enough and unique flavor, but all in all the entire meal was at best, mediocre.

Service can be a touch on the slow side. Seemed understaffed.

Placed order online, took 2 hours to be delivered. Before it was delivered, I called to cancel and they were very rude. Don't recommend them.
