Update Must Read:Now for the Pot Roast Pot Pie, lordy. I can't say enough spectacular things about it for real. The crust is so flaky and delightful to taste. Biggest pot pie with fabulous crust and holes poked in it, too. Nothing in the stores or another restaurant can compare to it. I couldn't finish it. There's so many big chunks of tasty meat, big tasty potatoes , and plump carrots along with peas. Then the gravy or juices are delicious too. For the price, it's well worth every penny, and I can't wait to try the chicken & Southwest chicken as the owner has winners for sure on these pot pies, kudos.Let's move on to the Cherry Custard yummy pie. I've been looking it seems like forever to find a fabulous custard in a pie.Guess what? I found my dream cherry custard pie. The custard is so creamy, and the sweetness is on point big time along with the perfect cherries. Again, the crust is so flaky and tasty kudos to a perfect crust it's so rare that it doesn't fall apart and holds up to where you can pick it up and eat with your fingers. I must admit that I demolished that pie in hours. Thank God it was only 6 inches.Now I've definitely found my favorite pies the white chocolate strawberry, cherry custard, and of course the pot pies. Big shout out to the Owner on a spectacular bakery filled with such delightful and delicious goodies.Next time, gonna have to try the quiche for sure!The drive from St. Louis is so worth it, and believe me, I'll be going a lot more. I called that morning to get 3 white chocolate strawberry pies held for me as I missed the cutoff time the day before they suggested calling the next day.I tried their pies when we were in town, treasure hunting, and now I'm hooked on the white chocolate Strawberry 6 inch pie. Luckily, when I went in to pick them up, they had the cherry cherry custard pie. Usually, they are special order. To my surprise, they had 3 of them, so of course, I picked up 2 of the 6 inch ones.Last time, I didn't try their savory pie, so this time, I picked up dinner for grabbing 2 of the pot roast pot pies. You heard me pot roast pot pies 6 inch. The reason I keep stating 6 inch is because they do have 9 inch pies, too. They would go bad before I could eat them, so I enjoy the 6-inch pies. Also, they have quiche as well. I'll let you know how the pot roast pot pie is when I eat it. Did I mention they ship as well. Big shout to the owner for having such fabulous sweet & savory pies for single people.Don't miss out if you're driving thru Columbia, Missouri. A big disappointment. We thought with the prices we would get a great tasting pie. We tried 6” American apple. Hoping to find a good option for thanksgiving. Well the crust was good. The staff was friendly. The good stops there unfortunately. The pie was missing flavor. I’ve never had an apple pie that you can’t taste any cinnamon, or spices of any kind. Needed more sugar. I understand prices are going up but to charge what they do. I would think they could afford to add more to make it flavorful. Shame. We won’t be back.

I was sadly disappointed in the cherry pie I got today. I had heard great things about Peggy Jean's so my expectations were high, but there wasn't much flavor in the pie. For a 9" pie, there wasn't a lot of filling. For $22, it was a disappointment and was more like an $8 pie.However, the ladies working were very friendly. Maybe this isn't one of their better flavors. I just can't recommend cherry at all.

We were not impressed! I had chocolate cream pie and my husband had chocolate chip cookie pie. Neither one had any taste. Extremely disappointed!

The pies are excellent. I have yet to find one that I have not enjoyed. I love the peach praline as well as the chocolate bourbon pecan pies. They have a variety of fruit pies, savory pies and creamy pies. It is worth going to check out and enjoy some dessert. Ver goid

Wow! Delicious pies and some super delicious flavor bombs like the Lemon Raspberry. IT's light lemony custard with fresh raspberries layered in between with a light creamy topping. I've never had a pie like this before and it's magical!!!
You can not go wrong with their pies! Pot pies are also wonderful!

I was just in Columbia for the day and Peggy Jean's Pies came highly my recommended by an MU student I chatted with. They weren't wrong! I was there early in the day and was able to take advantage of "day old" pricing on several 5" pies. Blueberry, Mixed Berry, Pecan, and Chocolate Bourbon Pecan. The fruit pies were delicious and filled with fruit but the Choco Pecan Bourbon was where it's at. Rich, flavorful, and full of pecans was def the winner of the trip!
