Shakespeare's Pizza - Downtown

We love the Shakespeare pizza crust!

Dont believe the hype. The slice is had was thick

Clean, ample seating & delish food. Pizza was hot, salads were huge.

Working in Columbia this week, and of course, we had to stop by Shakespeare's Pizza--one of the city's most iconic spots.

This was probably my fourth or fifth time visiting, so I already knew we were in for something good.
We started with a 10-piece garlic bread to share, which hit the spot right away. Each of us ordered our own pizza, and I decided to try the meat lover's for the first time. It was a bit greasy (as expected with all the meats), but they definitely don't hold back on the toppings--it was loaded and absolutely delicious.

The place has plenty of seating and gives off a cool, old-school restaurant vibe that adds to the experience. The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient, and the service overall was top-notch.
Shakespeare's never disappoints. It's a must-visit every time I'm in Columbia, and I'll definitely be back again.

The pizza is fine. The establishment is neat and spacious but can get very busy resulting in long delays. A fun place to experience but I don't find the need to return when I visit the city.

Kid-friendliness: This place is very kid friendly. They will give them some dough to play with if you ask the cooks

Perfect family pizza place in downtown Columbia!!!

Heard about this place prior to moving here, some rave and some say it's over-rated. I wanted to see for myself. I would prefer having a server. Cups for drinks are too small, I hate running back to the fountain. Chz garlic bread good, pizza ok, a little too greasy for my taste. The atmosphere is killer visually. It's quite loud. If they had servers and just improved the food to its potential, i would have scored them a '5.'

We ordered the garlic cheese bread and the all meat pizza for dinner. You wait on line to place your order then you take your seat and they will call your name out over the PA. The bread appetizer was just soso reminded me of something you could make at home. The pizza crust, sauce, and toppings were all great. I really enjoyed this pizza.
