The place looks cool however there was a order mess up. I gave a 5 stars as they helped me correct the error and we all got to eat as planned.

Never heard of this place tell recently. How I heard about it is not good. From food being kept in higher then allowed temperatures (40 degrees or below) to pest infestation, dirtiness the list goes on.. the place needs a new manager! I definitely will NOT be eating there..

I've been coming here since they opened. Before all the chain sandwich shops . The location changed, but 40yrs later and the sandwiches are still great. Every now and then a lazy employee screws up your sandwich, but to be one of the few places still around from back then speaks for itself.

cashier seemed on something. i thought asking me how much i want to tip was super cringey. the main sandwich maker, an older woman, gave me evil stares. almost 16 bucks for half a sub, a tiny bag of fritos, and a small drink was outrageous. don’t waste your time or money here

We stopped in for lunch during the Earth Day celebration downtown. I am not sure if the staff were celebrating in their own way, or what. But the cashier was definitely unwell, she had unfocused eyes, slurred speech and was kind of swaying. She tried charging my card several times, had trouble ringing in our order as well. We sat down to a gross sticky table that we had to attempt to clean ourselves. We waited 30 minutes for 3 small sandwiches that cost almost $60.00 when we added chips. When the food actually came there was literally no meat on my overcooked bread, just mayo and sprinkled lettuce. My husband's meatball sandwich was disgusting. I used the bathroom before we left and honestly I think the port-a-potty outside would have been cleaner. This place used to be great. I wouldn't reccomend it now.

Order delivery, sent sandwiches 1 totally wrong, called to replace sandwich before 9 p.m. wouldn't answer phone. No dinner tonight.! Update on yesterday's mixup. Called subshop, told them what happened, manager wasl very understanding. Remade my sandwich. Turned out perfect. Will definitely be using this sandwich shop again. 5 stars across the board!!

Had not been there in many years and I won’t be back. Got the Reuben and skimpy on the meat isn’t the word! If you’re gonna go big on the bread, you gotta go big on the whole sandwich, especially for what you charge!Bathroom was disgusting!

It was a. Cool environment but my sandwiches were 52 dollars and went thru today they added a ten dollar tip to my receipt so for that i gotta give a bad review. Sandwich was small af. You wait on your slef so theres no need for a tip.

Been going there since the 1990s, the place has gone down hill precipitously. The restaurant wasn't clean, the sandwiches were mostly bread and very little meat and toppings, the service was subpar while were the only ones in the restaurant. We will not be going back and it is unfortunate because the place used to be great.
I used to love Sub Shop. However, it's been several years since I've been into the downtown location. Today, I placed an online order and arrived at the estimated ready time. I stood in a line of 3 or 4 people who were placing orders at the counter. I got to the counter and was told my sandwiches were still being prepared. 25 minutes later, AND after several people who placed their order after me had already been served I approached the counter an was told my sandwiches were almost ready. 5 minutes later my name was called. With my lunch break pretty much over I left and rushed back to work. First off, my clothes smelled like grease just from standing in this place. Secondly, my sandwich was cold and had so much mayonaise slathered on that it was piling out the sides and dripping all over the place. Terrible experience!!!

Tenable nothing but lettuce and mayonnaise service slow and unorganized. Ordered BLT and Turkey club worst sandwiches I've ever gotten there. Been a customer since early 80s last one for us not worth eating put in the trash.

I have loved Sub Shop since I was a Mizzou student 1989-1993 when they had a store on campus. I have continued to be a raving fan. But today.....I was disappointed. The delivery driver (possibly outsourced) did not follow the instructions for delivery, causing the food to sit unattended and unknown for almost an hour. You must have a different tomato soup recipe. It looked like pizza sauce (cold due to sitting so long), the cheese was clearly never in any kind of melted state. My tuna salad sandwich, which I ordered with double american cheese, had no cheese. The tuna salad was beyond fishy and the tomatoes were in an advanced stage of yuck. Of course after sitting that long, the sandwich bread was total mush. So, after waiting 1.5-2 hours for the delivery from just down the street, I had to throw most of it away as is was inedible. I hope you know that I still want to love your business and want to enjoy it in the future. Please take my experience to heart.
