DO NOT EAT HERE! Used to love this place in college (only a couple years ago), but i don’t know what happened. Two sandwiches cost $58 dollars. I thought that had to have been incorrect since the cashier seemed like they were high as a kite. They said the prices recently went up, but the prices on the menu didn’t add up at all. I ate the cost in hopes of my beloved sandwich but it didn’t hold up either. The place seemed dirty (lights were practically off) and all things considered, I worried about sanitary conditions of the kitchen.

Went in today excited to have Sub Shop for the first time in a couple years - sad to say it was a negative experience. For two subs (albeit full size subs with added bacon) and two waters, it was $58. $58. Me and my boyfriend did think the lady running the front was incorrect when she read the total, since she was acting a little off and $50+ for lunch at a sub place is ridiculous. Paying that much is on us- while she told us prices went up, we’re not even sure if the prices on the menu are accurate anymore. Altogether a confusing time! Wouldn't entirely recommend.

This place is just as phenomenal as I remember from my childhood. I have eaten many meatball subs around the country but none have ever compared to the one here. I am glad that business brings me into the area twice a month so I can enjoy my favorite sandwich as an adult that I used to enjoy as a child. Saddened my heart to see the old location I used to go to with my mom closed but I am happy that this one remains open. Hopefully you will be open for many years to come

Sure wish the people preparing sandwiches here could get the orders right. No mayo means no mayo.

I staggered into the restaurant delirious and emaciated from not eating all day, at 5:00 pm after getting out of a workshop. I ordered a foot long sandwich without realizing how expensive it was, and was horrified to look up at the board and realized I paid 18 dollars for a single sandwich, nothing else. If it was made with high quality ingredients, I could understand, however it was skimpy and slathered in cheese whizz. Also, apparently this restaurant has had recent health code violations. If I die, please avenge me.

The last remaining Sub Shop in Columbia. The veggie plus bacon is superb!

I mean. Our family gets several subs many times a year for gatherings. Used to get at Worley St, but it closed. 8th St is the only shop open. Pretty sure it's unchanged from day 1. Thankfully the atmosphere does not reflect the food! Subs were exceptional for every member of our family.

The place looks cool however there was a order mess up. I gave a 5 stars as they helped me correct the error and we all got to eat as planned.

Worst idea for lunch ever. The cashier could not stop coughing and had open sores all over his hands. Didn't want to even order a drink. Was really upset to find out how skimped and dry the sandwich was. Should have just went to Jimmy johns

Never heard of this place tell recently. How I heard about it is not good. From food being kept in higher then allowed temperatures (40 degrees or below) to pest infestation, dirtiness the list goes on.. the place needs a new manager! I definitely will NOT be eating there..

I've been coming here since they opened. Before all the chain sandwich shops . The location changed, but 40yrs later and the sandwiches are still great. Every now and then a lazy employee screws up your sandwich, but to be one of the few places still around from back then speaks for itself.

cashier seemed on something. i thought asking me how much i want to tip was super cringey. the main sandwich maker, an older woman, gave me evil stares. almost 16 bucks for half a sub, a tiny bag of fritos, and a small drink was outrageous. don’t waste your time or money here

We stopped in for lunch during the Earth Day celebration downtown. I am not sure if the staff were celebrating in their own way, or what. But the cashier was definitely unwell, she had unfocused eyes, slurred speech and was kind of swaying. She tried charging my card several times, had trouble ringing in our order as well. We sat down to a gross sticky table that we had to attempt to clean ourselves. We waited 30 minutes for 3 small sandwiches that cost almost $60.00 when we added chips. When the food actually came there was literally no meat on my overcooked bread, just mayo and sprinkled lettuce. My husband's meatball sandwich was disgusting. I used the bathroom before we left and honestly I think the port-a-potty outside would have been cleaner. This place used to be great. I wouldn't reccomend it now.

Order delivery, sent sandwiches 1 totally wrong, called to replace sandwich before 9 p.m. wouldn't answer phone. No dinner tonight.! Update on yesterday's mixup. Called subshop, told them what happened, manager wasl very understanding. Remade my sandwich. Turned out perfect. Will definitely be using this sandwich shop again. 5 stars across the board!!

Had not been there in many years and I won’t be back. Got the Reuben and skimpy on the meat isn’t the word! If you’re gonna go big on the bread, you gotta go big on the whole sandwich, especially for what you charge!Bathroom was disgusting!
