I love steak but I have a rule of thumb to not order it at a restaurant because myself my wife and my father can always cook it better at home. This includes a very high end steak house that charges 120 a plate and people rave about that me and my father were disappointed by. But on this night I felt like breaking that rule I ordered the ribeye and i was very happy. Cooked a perfect medium rare throughout nice seer and very well seasoned. My wife got smothered grilled chicken and loved it also. If your in the area I highly recommend stopping in.

I hope you don’t mind waiting forever for your food. Apparently “only 3 people in the kitchen” can’t knock out orders when they’re not that busy. And who I can only guess is the manager speak to you like you’re a child.

Nice place very clean. Staff very friendly. Volcano burger super spicy with great fries. Jumbo wings had good sauce but we're very dry.

“It’s okay if you want to leave, the kitchen is really backed up, I can’t even give you an ETA on the food” - our waitress 30+ minutes after we placed our order. Never in our lives had any of us ever had an experience like that. Ordered takeout from them before and the food is pretty good, was hoping to have a similarly good experience in-restaurant. Instead, on a Saturday night of a gameday, this sports bar on the outskirts of a college town made us wait wayyyy too long every step of the way. Did she just not put our order in? If they’re so slammed, why was she chatting and laughing it up with the table next to us? Half an hour in and not even an ETA on food for 5 people, no apps? Really not inclined to give it another chance in person now, was such a shocking, weird experience felt that others should know

As always, great food and service. Still not serving Bur Oak Boone County Brown. Main reason we stopped going weekly, became once every two months patrons. As older, atmosphere got a 4 as would like stereo a bit lower to allow talking during the dinner hour.

Our waiter was friendly and after we had placed our food order he checked on us 2-3 times before our food came out and kept us updated on how long before our food would be ready!

Truman’s Bar and Grill consistently delivers an excellent experience. The value is outstanding $1.50 wheat mugs are a rare find, and the burgers are exceptionally generous in portion size, often more than satisfying with just half. Beyond the food and drink, the environment stands out. While it is a bar, there are hours of the day when the atmosphere is calm enough to comfortably focus and get work done, which adds versatility to the space.

Service is another highlight. My server, Paizlee, was kind, attentive, and genuinely sweet, elevating the overall visit. It’s clear that the staff cares about creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Truman’s combines quality, value, and atmosphere in a way that makes it a reliable choice for both relaxation and productivity. Highly recommended.

Typical bar food, got pizza and boneless wings, both were just 'ok', service was ok once I stopped a server and asked them for help - granted, it was busy and packed full. Atmosphere is super awesome, liked all the screens. I don't have a favorite pizza in columbia yet. My fav boneless wings are Buffalo wild wings - but have more to try. Curious about wings stop. If they have boneless, maybe I'll try theirs next? I will go back, and I'll try something different- and hopefully it won't be so busy and I can adjust my review.

Nice place all around 👌

I apologize, but their servers are so ignorant of their whiskeys (even though the money is set up to push whiskeys) that they can’t answer any questions and then end up up charging you for stuff you didn’t order. This has happened to me twice now.
