Pretzel was the best thing we had, they were out of multiple items, way over priced for the flavor and quality. We really wanted to like it but too disappoint for the price.

Have been here a few times now. The food is always on point, that’s never an issue, and that’s why we keep coming back. However, you need to plan for your meal to take a little longer because the service is a bit slow. We’ve always sat inside before today. Last time, it took about 45-60 minutes to receive our appetizer - the entrees came out before the appetizer.

But today was a nice day, so we sat on the patio. It took a good 15 minutes before we even received menus. Then a guy at the table next to us was smoking!! I had no idea that smoking was allowed on restaurant patios - so I checked the law. And there are supposed to be signs stating that it is a smoking area, off the restaurant allows it. I saw no signs - or we wouldn’t have sat outside. I have asthma and cigarette smoke is extremely irritating.

20 minute on a drink, food was a hour, appetizer came with main course. Brisket on the poutine isn't anywhere near the price. Fries were very good.

You MIGHT be lucky to get a drink. Waited 15 minutes for a drink. "Wing Special" is a joke, go to POOR RICHARDS! Burger special is happy meal sized sandwich. Never offered second drink.

Wings are 🔥, cold draft beer, and an establishment that cares about their community. What more can ya ask for.

This place has a 4.5 rating with a bunch of reviews. So what could possibly go wrong... The wife and I went to PJ's Hideout on the Saturday after Black Friday 2024. We were asked to seat ourselves We got the big pretzel as an appetizer and that was good.
I ordered this fish tacos grilled with roasted veggies (All zucchini wtf) the wife got a smash burger and fries.
My fish tacos were not seasoned so really bland. The wife reported the same with her burger. I ate the tacos because I'm a dude. And the wife got a togo box for the dogs (FYI they liked it) we got the food and then noticed that we had no silverware... So it took a bit to flag down a waitress. Didn't get any refills on sodas tipped 20+%
So on the bill there is a cash price and a credit price... It seems we threw a wrench in the checkout process by paying with $20s and asking for change. So you sort of get punished by paying with cash... Whatever we probably won't be back.

I probably rated this place higher than I should have.

TL;DR
Overrated high priced food. Atmosphere was good. Service was meh.

the eggs Benedict were some of the best I've had (aside from the black olives). the home fries style potatoes were incredibly flavorful and crispy. unfortunately, the brunchkin was just ok (breast was overcooked and tough, croissant bun soggy), but I'd definitely come back to try the rest of their brunch menu

Great setup and atmosphere, but the service was well below average. Two different servers… first was just careless, second was fine but inattentive. Very slow service and incorrect tabs met by smug attitude

A hidden gem. Plenty of TV screens for the sports minded. Clean, decor is nice, quality table and chairs, mostly high tops with a handful of low tables. They can accommodate bigger groups.

On to the food… it’s great! We’ve eaten here three times and haven’t been disappointed yet. Salads are large with lots of ingredients. The Monte Cristo and burgers are very good. Fish and chips are good but I think cod is ordinary, I’d prefer a different fish. A member of our party ordered a blackened chicken dish, he really liked it. My husband ordered the pasta special… olive oil base with vegetables and chicken, it was very good. The pretzel app is fun for a small group, it’s BIG.
Overall, a great place to eat and visit with friends or family. We highly recommend JP’s!

My wife and I walked into JP's on a Monday afternoon. We sat around for several minutes. We were never greeted, brought menus or even looked at by the staff.

So we left. Nice place you got there lol?

So we got the fried chicken sandwich and fries. We must have gotten the bottom of the fries because they were all crumbs and the fried chicken sandwich was burnt and salty…..very disappointing.
