We recently moved to the area and first tried The Rack House for breakfast — it was so good that we knew we had to come back for dinner! A few weeks ago, we returned to celebrate our anniversary, and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had.
We were seated right away, and our waitress, Merika, was absolutely wonderful. She checked in with us often, kept us updated on our orders, and even surprised us with a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary. The service truly felt personal and top-notch.
The food was equally incredible. We started with the famous crab-stuffed pretzels (a must-try — we’ll never skip them!) and then had the filet mignon and NY strip, both cooked perfectly and with a ton of flavor.
To top it off, the manager stopped by our table multiple times to make sure everything was great and even gave us a free appetizer coupon for our next visit.
The Rack House has quickly become our favorite restaurant in the area — from the amazing food to the outstanding service, every visit has been exceptional.

The Spiced Pear Margarita is the best Fall drink! Rack House never disappoints. There is nothing like this in St Charles County: Always the most knowledgeable staff, amazing food, and the most creative drinks.

Excellent service, food and prices. The service was quick, and we were offered water refills plenty of times. Dirty dishes were bussed immediately.
Make a reservation, and enjoy a nice evening.

The flavor and cook on my food was fine, there were a couple of things that kept me from giving a higher rating: the bread of my sandwich didn't hold together enough for me to eat it easily, and they didn't take the time to cut it in half. Once I picked it up and started eating, I was pretty much committed to finish it. It tastes fine, but I immediately had to wash when I was done with it before I could touch anything else.
The service was ok, but they needed to pay more attention to empty glasses and drinks waiting to be picked up from the bar.
Overall, I'd eat here again with a different set of expectations.

We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Rack House Kitchen Wine Whiskey and the entire experience exceeded expectations.
Living right nearby in the Cottleville Trails, it’s incredible to have a restaurant of this quality so close to home. A neighbor of mine, who also happens to be the owner of STL Bucket List, recommended the place highly, saying, “You won’t go wrong if you love cigars and quality bourbon.” He was absolutely right.
We started with the Crab Stuffed Pretzels appetizer, which was nothing short of amazing perfectly seasoned, rich with flavor, and a great way to kick off the night. For dinner, my wife ordered the Steak & Fries while I had the Pork Porterhouse cooked medium well. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and full of fresh, high-quality flavor. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of care into the ingredients and preparation.
The service was excellent from start to finish. Our main waiter (Maven) was attentive and professional, and helped us select amazing meals! The bartender was spot-on with drink recommendations, even showing me their rotating monthly list of special last pours (some at nearly half the usual price). Later, in the cigar lounge, the server (Marika) went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She even mentioned she wished she’d known it was my wife’s birthday so they could have surprised her with a slice of cake. That small gesture of thoughtfulness really stood out.
The cigar lounge itself is a hidden gem. While smaller than some might expect, it’s stylish, intimate, and set up with a great man-cave vibe with cigar box walls, bourbon crates worked into the décor, and a staircase design that makes it feel unique. The couches were comfortable, the ventilation was solid, and the whole space encouraged conversation. We ended up meeting and chatting with some really great people while enjoying our cigars and drinks.
The cigar selection was well curated top 10 to top 20 brands, priced very reasonably compared to what you’d find online. The staff makes it simple by asking you to note the number of the cigar you want, which they then add to your bill. Beyond cigars, the lounge also sells accessories like lighters, cutters, and even car ashtrays. I actually bought one on the spot. The owner had already left for the evening, but the waitress didn’t let that stop her; she messaged the owner directly, and he was incredibly quick and responsive, sending back the exact pricing for the ashtray. That level of attentiveness and communication really impressed me.
Overall, this place delivers on every level:
Fantastic food and drinks.
A welcoming, well-run cigar lounge.
Staff who go above and beyond even after hours.
A clean, comfortable atmosphere perfect for both celebrations and casual nights out.
It’s rare to have such a high-quality experience so close to home, and we left already planning our next visit. Highly recommended if you love great food, bourbon, and cigars in a relaxed yet classy setting.

We utilized the event space this past weekend for a Bridal Shower. Everything was perfect! The Event Planner, server and owner made sure our party was cared for! Prior to booking the party room, we had dinner at the restaurant and the steak was amazing and staff answered all of our questions! We then quickly decided this was the perfect event space! The catered food was amazing and our guests loved how the event space flowed to the private patio. We will definitely be back for brunch and date night!

My wife hosted a wedding shower here and it was a great venue with its own private patio area. The women had a great time with great food. The guys had a cigar lounge with multiple TVs and a great place to go to let the women do their thing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or surrounding areas. I drove from Maryland Heights and it is not a bad drive at all and I will be back.

First off, we love this place. The food is outstanding and the drinks are awesome. We had the surf and turf which was over the moon good. But TBH, we weren't pleased there is a $5 sharing charge. I don't agree that should be charged and it may affect our coming back more often. We don't eat a lot and sharing is important to us, otherwise we waste food.
Most importantly, we had a terrible server. He was slow at every point, not helpful with anything, hardly ever appeared and took a very long time to get our checks, then even longer to get them processed. Plus he made errors with them. While we may go back, I'm not sure the other two couples we were with will EVER go back. It was completely maddening and not what I expect from this place. It was not busy and that would not be a relevant excuse.
