I called to make a reservation for a month out and apparently they can't handle a party of 12 because theyre kitchen staff can't keep up. Don't try to come here for a nice dinner for your wife's 40th birthday.

Edit: the owner responded with a complete lie. The host Mackenzie told me there was 100% plenty of opening, but parties larger than 12 needed approved by manager.

The reservation was for a Friday evening not a Saturday.

Your manager told me he couldn't accommodate me at all that day, never offered another option at all. I said okay thanks , bye and hung up the phone.

Not sure how else I was to respond when told you can't accommodate a party of 12.

We used to frequent this place several years ago but hadn't been in a while, so decided to book a table. The pros: Service was friendly and attentive (although we were given the wrong check at the end which was odd), the food/drinks were delivered quickly, and the Manhattan I ordered was tasty. The cons: Food was truly mediocre at best. The flank steak was a small portion, not well seasoned and very chewy - flank cuts can be that way if not properly tenderized, cooked and sliced. Wife said salmon dish with risotto was similarly bland with little flavor. We WANT to like this place because it has a unique vibe and is close, but probably not going back anytime soon.

Let me just say that this place absolutely rocks!! I’ve attended several private party events in the back room, dinner on several occasions. I’m more impressed with the Service. John (owner), Daniel (Chef), Chrissy(Mgr) and any staff I’ve dealt with has been so accommodating.
If you smoke Cigars, they have a Cigar lounge.
If I could give ten stars i definitely would.

The Rack house hosted 8 of us for a dinner. Reservation was made & they were ready for us. Our server, Lori, was fabulous. We ate & drank for a long time. Everyone’s appetizers & main dish was perfect. We all shared. We all talked about how we can’t wait to get back again.

This review is reflective of the bar back, or bar help on Saturday night. My date and I approached the bar to sit in two empty seats. The employee grabbed me by my jacket from behind and pulled me away from the seat as I was trying to get seated and she said “let me clean this up.” In no circumstance is it ever appropriate for someone to do that. I was in shock so I didn’t say anything even though I felt really uncomfortable with how she handled that. We ended up staying for a drink despite the interaction. Thankfully the bartender who made our drinks was pleasant, but the woman (with the dark hair and septum piercing) who pulled my jacket from behind, who printed our ticket and threw it on the bar at us— she either needs training on how to interact with customers, or find another job where she doesn’t have to interact with people.

Marika did an amazing job recommending food and drinks to us during our visit! We told her we were repeat visitors and she urged us to try different food options! Will definitely be back!

We waited nearly 40 minutes before being acknowledged and ultimately had to flag someone down. The food was underwhelming at best: the arancini sauce was excessively peppery, and the mashed potatoes were served cold. The dining room felt chaotic and tense rather than relaxed. Service was minimal throughout the evening, and ordering drinks felt inconvenient. Despite the menu stating a 1 hour and 15 minute dining experience, we were there for over 3.5 hours. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the $200 spent.
