La Bonne Bouchee Patisserie & Cafe

This was my second time coming here, and genuinely I’m not that impressed. It’s over hyped, and the customer service is a joke. They’re super dismissive and don’t really seem to care. They are far from rude, so I wouldn’t say that but they lack connecting with customers. No discussion of the menu, don’t ask whether or not you want your iced tea sweet or unsweetened, or whether you’d like a lemon (they’ll give it to you anyways). Very small details, but they simply have no character.

On the bakery side the employee was unfortunately was very slow, and didn’t really know what she was doing. I felt bad as she seemed to lack training.

Essentially this place is what the kids nowadays would call “mid.” It’s not terrible, but it’s overpriced and simply not that memorable.

The desserts are Devine. Plan to wait in line though.

While the cafe has traditional French cuisine, the quality of the bakery has gone down drastically without the French pastry chef who previously ran the place. This USE to be the best bakery in St Louis area.

La Bonne Bouchée Patisserie & Cafe is truly one of the best patisseries on this side of Paris—right here in St. Louis! As someone who loves French cuisine and pastries, this place brings back so many joyful memories from my home. From the delicate macarons to the perfectly flaky croissants, every bite is a taste of authentic French tradition… c’est la vie!

As soon as I walked in on the huge displays of deserts I knew I was coming out with SOMETHING! I had never really seen French pastries before coming here, but every pastry in that place made me want to blow all of my money. I also feel like they had fair prices & an awesome ambiance to the place.

Bean boost smoothie. Banana latte. Mocha cake. 6 piece macaroons. Raspberry pinwheel and blueberry scone. This place sets the standard to STL. Been coming here since I was little. It’s a great holiday destination. They now added a café under new ownership. Everything is brightened and fresh. Inviting environment.

Amazing atmosphere with even better employees! The bread, croissants, cakes, and macarons were phenomenal. You can taste the effort in each bite! Such a cute spot!! Delina was an amazing employee who went out of her way to make sure all of my needs were met. Thanks guys!

Ordered Bacon egg cheese croissant and cheese danish.

Danish - 5 stars
Croissant - 1 star almost no bacon egg or cheese.

Latte - Carmel/cinnamon with cream was good but sorry, not $6 good

Christmas Eve, yes, the establishment was busy but like a well-oiled machine went very smoothly and actually quickly for the amount of people in the building. The food, the pastries the best in my opinion in the city of St. Louis a far French pastries

Vegetarian options: A line for pick up order only. Bakery side was take a number. The Smoothie line moved very quickly. No waiting at the restaurant side. La Bonne Bouchee was definitely prepared. Did I mention how friendly all employees were? Wonderful atmosphere.
