Had a DEPLORABLE experience at the Olive location this evening: when telling the first waiter what we wanted to drink, he asked us if we wanted a McChicken. Later he was caught looking through my friends gift bag (nothing was taken thankfully). Our waitress was beyond rude: first of all, me and several people at our table tried to get Khloes attention to order but she’d just make eye contact and walk away (she did that multiple times). Then finally she comes and smartly walked to one friend and said “NOW it’s your turn” and then proceeded to say to each person when she walked around “NOW it’s your turn, you’re#2 “& so on. So on the menu it said on the rice section that it was served with chicken, shrimp & a couple other things in combination. When I asked could I get sweet & sour chicken and the rice she was yelling that no they don’t do combination plates and I had to choose between orange chicken with white rice or fried rice with regular chicken. Also my rice was salty and the chicken was undercooked. Then was angry when some of the guests checks were messed up like it was their fault & some people were charged for things they never even ordered. JUST DONT EAT HERE

I just left from the University City location with a large party. Not only was the food subpar, but the service was awful. All of the food was room temperature- lukewarm. The server (Chloe) messed up on all the tickets, and was very pushy about receiving payment for tickets that were completely wrong all around. When myself and members of my party attempted to order food,we were yelled at to wait. We waited. After waiting, we were ignored completely. Also, there was a server/ busboy walking around making racist remarks towards myself as well as those at my table. Well after I got my food, he poured my water, he kept saying “fried chicken? Fried chicken?” while constantly laughing. He then proceeded to rummage through the personal belongings of a member of my party while he thought no one was looking. When we went to pay for our meals (which they honestly deserved nothing), they questioned whether or not our debit/credit cards were ours, and those of us who paid cash, they insinuated that the money wasn’t “clean”. My party wasn’t loud. We weren’t rude. We were very respectful, and obviously that wasn’t reciprocated in any way. I understand this location doesn’t do well with large parties, but all of these actions were completely unnecessary. Also, there was absolutely no indication whatsoever that this location did not host large parties of people. The University City location is a terrible establishment overall, and the food is horrendous. This location deserves nothing but the raggedy parking lot around it.

Old-school Chinese restaurants, some of the staff have limited English, but although the service is not friendly, it is efficient and the restaurant is clean. The menu is loaded with pictures so if you have difficulty deciphering what the food items are, you can take a peek. The appetizers are delicious, including the chicken feet, salt and pepper squid and the entrée sole salt and pepper deep-fried is good too. My only complaint is that if the prices on the menu or not would appear on your bill! My dinner ended up being over $70 with tip is I was charged more than the mini price. I paid the bill this time but if I do go back, I will call them out on it.

There used to be a better selection at Dim Sum here. Hard to know if something is vegetarian or not, even if you ask the servers. What they have is still good, but over seasoned or over soy sauced. The restaurant is clean and the parking is plenty. We went on a Saturday, maybe Sunday is better.

We stopped in after 7pm, and they close at 8, so I will say that if you were just wanting one or two meals the ready-to-go options were a little limited- but we ordered a family pack and were able to browse for a few groceries while they whipped up fresh lo-mein for us- everything was great and I will definitely be back ?

Wheelchair accessibility: It's just inside Dierbergs doors; definitely accessible

My favorite dim sum spot. The shu mai are always good and I always get the hot and sour soup during the winter. The sticky rice in lotus leaf is also a favorite.

Wow! We haven’t been in quite some time but remember it being the place for authentic & delicious Chinese food. Not tonight! We ordered online—first time for that. No mention that you must order rice because we didn’t get any with our food order. I asked for mooshu pork—we got chicken. I asked them to roll the pancakes for us— they did not; no green onions and the “pancakes” were flour tortillas—yes, they were. Orange chicken? I think they forgot the sauce— it was basically fried chicken pieces with a little something on it and a few pieces of orange rind. We also had black pepper beef which was pretty bland & flavorless. The beef was pretty nice pieces of what looked like lean flank steak in a brown sauce with lots of onions and a few pieces of chopped pepper. And to top It off, there was only one woman working that we could see. She could not find our order when we came in and finally handed my husband a stack of papers and told him to find our order. She didn’t speak good English, so that may have been part of the issue. The restaurant has seen better days. It looks dirty and very old inside—not well kept. Doesn’t look like a place you’d want to sit down at a table to eat. This was a huge disappointment.

Kung Pao Chicken. All chicken totally fatty. Very greasy food. Looked like interesting restaurant. Food was disappointing. Did not bother to bring home leftovers. Customer service poor. Large selection menu. First visit. Would not go back.

What I do not like is the parking space. The parking is tight. Surprise that the dim sum is good. Over the years the egg tart have gotten smaller. Now its just bit size. BBQ Pork bun, there was too much sugar syrup. There should only be enough were the fingers doe not touch it. The typical dim sum dish, har gow and siu mai are good. The BBQ Pork is good, the portion is some what smaller than what I am use to. Then again its the right amount where there are no left over BBQ Pork. The sticky rice wrap in banana leaves have gotten small. From other reviews about the lady at the front. The reviews are correct, she does have an attitude. Be kind. The type of customers that she have to deal with could be the reason for her attitude. There are some customer that are so special, there is nothing you can do to please them. Then there are some customer say that there is a hair in the food. The hair is either blond, brunette or red, while all the employee hair are black.
