Last night I dined in and I got honey tofu. I always get tofu when I dine in because it's crisper than when I get it take out So the tofu was not hot which was strange because it was prepared like 30 seconds before it was served. I mentioned to a staff member that it was not hot and he seemed confused so he called the manager over who told me it had to be hot because it was crispy. It was not crispy either. Their solution was to give me hot rice which made no sense because the rice wasn't the issue. I tried to enjoy it but it was cold so I told the manager I'd really just like a new dish. I was told I basically ate half of it already. Right because you didn't resolve the issue the first time. They finally remade it and it was great but I don't understand why it took so long to do something that anyone with common sense would have done in the first place. Remake it. It wasn't even the managers fault it was cold it was the cooks so I'm not sure why he was defensive. Everyone makes mistakes no problem just own up to it. Makes life a lot easier!

This restaurant has too many roaches. Eat at your own risk! The Creve Coeur Department of Health should have been closed down for not closing down the Pei Wei restaurant. These are a few of the many roaches in Pei Wei's kitchen. The managers are actually using home-used Raid aerosol spray during business hours. Management is so greedy for money - they refuse to close down and have this restaurant properly and safely sprayed for roaches.
I'm responding again to the management of Pei Wei, who answered 4 days ago. As of this date, 9/1/ 25 roaches are still in the Pei Wei restaurant. These people are liars. If the inspection on 8/26 is 98, the customers should have the name of the inspector who gave this roach-infested place a score of 98. The pictures have been provided by actual employees who are so tired of serving food with roaches to customers. These managers are disgusting for lying to customers. New managers need to be hired who are clean and care about customers' safety.

This place is nasty and disgusting, and so are the managers. Johnny, the manager, killed roaches with a knife, and without cleaning the knife off, he used it to cut up vegetables. He was asked why he hadn't cleaned the knife with the roach guts on it, and he didn't respond. The other manager, named Aaron, saw a roach in the box and shook the live roach out of the box, and placed the customers' food in the same box. This savage restaurant with these savage managers should be closed down for good.
Last week, the manager, Aaron, had a nervous breakdown and told the employees they were idiots. His outburst was very disturbing. He punched the wall and started screaming, and pushed another manager, Johnny.
Aaron's unstable mental outburst was observed by the customers eating in the restaurant. I don't know why the Creve Coeur Police Department was not alerted to this dangerous behavior. Aaron threw the food the employees had made on the floor, splattering food everywhere, and told the employees to pick it up.
These managers are very unstable, and the food is contaminated with roaches. Safety issues are of great concern at this restaurant.
This restaurant doesn't deserve a 1 star but a minus 10.

Food was just okay. Had the firecracker chicken and it was overcooked, several overly crunchy pieces. Went with two friends and we all thought the same thing, hoping for great food and it was just okay.
