If you value your time, money, and dignity, look elsewhere than Chandler Hill Vineyards.
I don’t usually write public reviews, but my experience at Chandler Hill Vineyards for my May 31, 2025 birthday celebration was so disappointing, I feel a responsibility to warn others before they spend their hard-earned money here.
I paid over $1,300 for what was promised to be a beautifully catered, well-presented brunch for my guests. What I received was cold, stale food, poor service, and an embarrassing experience I would never want anyone else to endure.
Here’s what went wrong:
• Cold, unappetizing food: Waffles were ice-cold, crab cakes were unrecognizable (tiny, overcooked, nothing like the tasting), bruschetta trays were stale and inedible, sliders were cold, and there were missing items from my order entirely. The only things my guests could actually enjoy were the bacon, shrimp, fruit, cheese, and meat — hardly what I paid for.
• No food presentation or display: Despite being told the food would be set up beautifully for my celebration, it looked like an afterthought with no effort at all put into presentation.
• Unprofessional service: The server assigned to us was also working other tables, spoke to me the birthday girl in a dismissive, disrespectful tone, and was unavailable when guests wanted to purchase from the regular menu. My guest were upset seeing the server speak to me in the manner he was however I asked my guest to drop it so I could just enjoy my birthday. This was not the professional, attentive service I was promised or expected.
• Reservation confusion: Upon arrival, no one could even find my reservation. This created an awkward and frustrating start to my event.
• Zero follow-up: I contacted management and emailed detailed feedback (multiple times over a period of 3 months) hoping they would make things right however I just received phone tag with the GM. No accountability. No real follow up, no Nothing.
What’s most disappointing is that I was considering this venue for my annual sorority fundraiser, which brings in 200+ guests each year. That potential business is now gone — not because of one mistake, but because the management chose not to make it right.
If this is how Chandler Hill handles paying customers — especially customers willing to bring repeat large-scale events — I can’t recommend them to anyone. I left embarrassed in front of my guests, out over $1,300, and completely disregarded by the staff and management.
If you value professionalism, quality catering, and respectful service, I cannot recommend Chandler Hill Vineyards. My hope is that they take this review seriously and reach out to make this right, but based on my experience, customer care is not a priority here.
A venue with this kind of reputation should care about the experience they deliver and how they respond when they fail. I don’t want to believe it was our skin color however I just don’t understand how things were so awful for us and no one made anything right after.
Breathtaking views, great wines, food and service! Do yourself and a friend a favor and enjoy this wonderful place!
Great service, great food, excellent view.
Beautiful winery with gorgeous views. Service was also superb. The only problem is the entertainment (guitar player today) is too loud for conversation. Really wish businesses would limit the noise.
Edited - I used a noise meter to see exactly how loud it was in the restaurant. It was reading over 110 decibels throughout.
Stopped here on my own for the first time today for a chicken salad sandwich and cranberry slaw lunch. Both the food items and the service were very good. I'll be back in the area in a few months with friends and hope to talk them into stopping here for lunch!
Our granddaughter and her husband had their wedding and rehearsal, 5/24 and 5/25/2025, at Chandler Hill and everything was perfect, from the location, to the food and drinks, but most of all the staff. Everyone there made the day so stress free and easy. From the first meeting to the last minute of the wedding night it was a first class place! Highly recommend Chandler Hill for any one for any celebration.
To say I am incredibly grateful we chose Chandler Hill Vineyards as our wedding venue is an understatement. My husband and I hosted our rehearsal brunch and our wedding here last month and we along with our family and friends had an absolute blast celebrating at this beautiful winery! The food-from the brunch buffet to the wedding party lunch/snacks to the appetizers to the dinner-was absolutely delicious (we still have guests raving about the menu!), we were able to get amazing photos thanks to the beautiful scenery, and the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process! In my opinion, a day of coordinator is not necessary as it might be for some other venues because Emily, the Brookes, and the rest of the staff were so organized and dedicated to helping our wedding vision come to life through the planning meetings/tastings they offer, the shared electronic document for details and timeline, their effective collaboration with our multiple vendors day of, and their assistance with transforming their space in such a short period of time with both their decor and our decor! The kitchen was able to accommodate multiple dietary restrictions/preferences throughout the weekend which was MUCH appreciated. It rained the morning and the afternoon of our wedding but we were still able to host the outdoor ceremony we envisioned thanks to the accommodating staff members. The fireworks were a huge hit!! Chandler Hill will always hold a special place in our heart. Ever since we discovered this venue two years ago, we have enjoyed spending time here during regular hours as well to enjoy their food, wine, live music, and their beautiful views and we look forward to many more occasions at Chandler Hill!
Liz was great....knowledgeable, patient and chill. Just what we needed to relax after a morning of intense mountain biking.
Father’s Day dinner buffet was great. Our server, Liz, was welcoming, friendly and professional as always.
Ross was an excellent server, and checked on us several times. Italian Lemonade was amazing

Fantastic place. Big patio offering a beautiful view. Live band was playing great songs. Fire oven pizza was delicious and the wines we tried were great quality. They also had an extensive list of perennial draught beers.
My daughter’s wedding was at Chandler Hill in May of 2025. From the moment we first visited through the day of the wedding, every aspect and detail was amazing. Communication during planning was exceptional and every question and concern along the way was addressed quickly and efficiently. The process was very organized and easy to pull together. We had several meetings for tastings, setting details and finalizing plans. The options available were wonderful and they helped us through every step of the way. The food at Chandler Hill was amazing and our family and friends are still talking about how good it was. They were also great in accommodating dietary restrictions for several of our guests. We had our rehearsal at Chandler Hill as well and it was perfect. On the day of the wedding, everyone went out of their way to make sure the day was perfect for my daughter. While it rained the day of her wedding, it stopped about an hour before the ceremony and staff went above and beyond to make sure the venue was ready for an outdoor ceremony. The entire staff there was amazing, from answering questions, to setting up and taking down decorations and doing everything they could to make the entire day magical. As the mother of the bride, I had the most amazing night and so did my daughter and her new husband! Family and friends had nothing but wonderful things to say as well. Shout out to Brooke, Emily and Brooke for all their help and support for our daughter and son-in-law’s special day. It could not have been more perfect!
We had a wonderful time in the barrel room and at lunch after. It’s always a great time when sommelier Scott LaChance talks wine and wine pairing.
Me and my girlfriends met up there on Memorial Day. The food was amazing, so was the wine. It was a gorgeous day, we had a great time.
Chandler Hill Vineyards is a New Melle Chamber member! An atmosphere that can't be beat, whether for weekend fun or making wedding memories, its a community staple.
