Wow read up how you got sued for back rent?! Bad year for you , Amer. You should take some anger management classes not for the anger but for the overall tactics of assertive approaches to bad reviews and what can be resolved in a reasonable manner. I know we didn't see eye to eye about my pay discrepancy about.my overtime. But hey I thought you was doing ok there out in Clayton. Who ever knew that was coming. Maybe new opportunities or new business to get into. Best of luck. My family runs and owns a bar and grill. Doimg fine there and busy. I mainly checked her out of curiosity of the impact of covid on tour restaurant. Surprised it closed way before then

I realize I'm KICKING A DEAD HORSE here because this place is finally, mercifully, closing its doors. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because my husband and I would occasionally read their reviews on Yelp for entertainment. We will have to come up with a new hobby to fill the void I guess. We dined here a couple of times during it's short stint at West Co.Mall and really had high hopes since it's such a convenient location for us. After our second horrible experience, we started a pool with some friends of our's who had, (no surprise) similar experiences, betting on the eventual date of its closing. I think my friend Kim won because she said they would make it past a year. I gave it three months and my husband gave it four months. So happy my friend won because just think of all those 1 star reviews we would have missed! Seriously, this guy should not only be taken to court by all of his creditors, but by every patron who ever spent a dime in this joke of a restaurant. I hope he is forced out of the restaurant business for good. I feel bad for all the employees who did their best to serve their guests. I'm sure it wasn't easy to work there. And I'm guessing their boss probably stiffed them too like he did everyone else. The first time we dined there, the owner recited his family motto to us: "'People come in as guests, eat as friends and leave as family.' I remember saying as we were leaving that night, "That dude must hate his family." Buh bye Copia...

I was a huge fan of Copia downtown back in the day, so I was interested in trying the new location. Seems like anytime a restaurant leave the city for "greener pastures" in the county, things go downhill quick. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The decor and wine selection leads you believe you're about to have a high end dining experience (the prices will also lead you to that conclusion) but that was not my experience. We ordered salads, which were good but not great. I ordered the roasted chicken. I was expecting a juicy, bone-in chicken quarter of some sort but what I got was basically a grilled chicken breast, with a side of under cooked veggies and bland rice. If I had stayed home and cooked, my meal would have been significantly better. Our server was great, and everyone there was friendly. Unfortunately the food doesn't measure up, particularly for the price we paid. We will not be back. St. Louis has too many amazing restaurants to waste our going out money here.

Very disappointed. The drinks were wrong, when served the order was was wrong. Love the atmosphere, not so much the service.

Went for the first time to get a drink and the server sat us in the bar. After being seated the bartender came up and told us we had to leave since it was closed for a private party. Extremely poor communication and frankly rude service. First and last time for our party of 6. Stay away!

Slow and poor customer service. Asked for well done steak for pregnant wife but it came out bloody. After waiting over two hours for an entree and told prefix menu dessert was out we asked for the check which took another 45 minutes to take care of. Wouldn't recommend eating here unless you have 3 hours to waste.

The service was slow and inattentive. The food was underwhelming and the price was high for the overall experience. I hoped for something more. I would look elsewhere.

We went for a bowl of gumbo. The roux was very good but it was mostly just roux, a few veggies and rice. I would not try it again.

Since this restaurant is 5 minutes from my home I have tried to be a positive customer. I have been there 4 times but the food is not good and the service is TERRIBLE ( even though the restaurant is mostly empty). There are many choices of good restaurants in our city; this one is missing a lot of necessary ingredients and predictably it will fail unless the management reads all the bad reviews and does something about it!!!

The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. She had the prime rib sandwich and I had the cob salad.

JUST DON'T GO! Food was flavorless and service was horrible. To top it off, the owner has the worst attitude. We paid, left and I told a friend of my experience. Apparently the owner is a sociopath and an abuser.

This is the owners response to a bad experience , read the reviews there are many like it! Me: Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! They should be embarrassed about the food that they serve and what they charge! I ordered their Copia salad which is supposed to have a goat cheese crostini, they served me a …More

I came in today for a dinner meeting. My party already seated. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the scallops for the entree. I asked for a "double sear" on the scallops because most restaurants served them just a little rare in the center. I do not like that. They arrived and was still very rare. They immediately told me they could take the same ones and re-dear them a 3rd time but I can not get my money back. I was told this twice before being offered any other solution. I wasn't offered another entree or even an apology. Needless to say, I will not come back and quite honestly it was pretty empty here. I guess everyone else got the memo of the poor service and terrible staff. I wonder will they burn this location down as well?

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant before. Since we had family in town and we were a party of 11, we made reservations a few weeks ago. We were seated immediately and then sat there for 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged. When the "warm" bread was brought out, it was cold and hard. We ordered a couple bottles of wine for the table. Again we sat there and waited. We still haven't ordered our meal yet and we had had been sitting for 35 minutes at this point. When they finally brought the wine over we said we just wanted to order our meal. Then the person informed us that he had to go get someone else. So we finally order our meal. 3 of us ordered the prime rib medium rare. Someone else orders the mahi only to be told they don't have mahi. It's on the menu but they don't have it...however, they do have tilapia which of course is not on the menu. Someone else ordered the roasted chicken and then others ordered some random stuff. Anyway, they start bringing food out pretty quick. When they put the prime rib down in front of me, I was shocked. It was raw. Not medium rare. Raw. The bottom of it was slightly cooked. I took a bite and it was cold. Again. Raw and cold. The mashed potatoes were good. The parts that were cooked were delicious. Otherwise, there were chunks of raw potato in it. The veggie was broccoli which again was not cooked. The other person that ordered the prime rib had a raw one and the 3rd person that ordered the prime rib sat there with no food. Back to that in a minute. The "roasted chicken" was 3 strips of chicken on top of rice. Not roasted. Everyone had terrible food except my daughter. She had chicken strips and fries which was actually good. And hot! Wow! After asking for the other persons meal a couple times, they finally brought out her (once again) raw prime rib. We were just done at this point. Other things happened but I'm honestly so disgusted....

I really want to like this place however I have been a couple times and the happy hour is laughable. Most places have happy hour specials but don’t cut the portions back to virtually nothing. The cheese plate had 4 of the tiniest pieces of cheese ever (smaller the what you get in the precut cheese packages at the grocery store). The chips are about 10 chips. I would rather go somewhere and pay full price and get a real size appetizer. That would actually be a better value.
