We were passing through on our way home from Gulf Shores Alabama family vacation. We googled for a place to eat and this place popped up. We took our chances and glad we did. The food was amazing. Our waitress was super sweet, we never had to ask for drink refills and was helpful with what to order. My husband even commented that this was the best meal we had our entire trip. That’s a huge compliment since we had just left from eating some amazing seafood. The only thing I would add is that the kids menu is maybe lacking a little. 1 chicken strip isn’t enough for $6.99. Our kids eat off kids menus everywhere we go but we had to order off the adult menu since 1 strip would not have been enough. That’s the first time I’ve seen a kids chicken strip meal with just one tender. But it was good and we will go back if we ever go back that direction.

Food is very mediocre for the price. Most of it doesn’t seem to be from scratch. Chicken carbonara had a fried chicken strip from a bag cut up on top, very little bacon, and flavorless sauce; garlic bread was made from a hoagie roll—all for $18.99. My daughter’s chicken and okra were fried way too long; I’m surprised the kitchen still sent it out. My husband said his shrimp had very little flavor. I’m glad many seem to like it, but we were disappointed.

In the first two attempts, I did not like the food. The buffet leaves much to be desired. However, I was outvoted and ate there a third time. I am glad I did. I ordered off the menu and It was much better this time. I will definitely be back.

Loving me some 1808 public house when I come down home . I brought my wife for the first time on June 17th . Thank you Greg for cooking me a perfect Ribeye , double fries so good . Gravel bar dip delicious . Thank you Erin for opening a 5 star restaurant in Doniphan Mo .

We love 1808! The trivia and bingo are so fun and the food is delicious. Great variety of food and drinks. Servers are always friendly.

We visited 1808 for the first time today and it did. It disappoint. We got a chicken quesadilla, a Southwest steak wrap and a chipotle ranch chicken wrap. We also go French fries with each order.everything we got was perfect! The french fries were amazing, look to be homemade, they were thin and not to crispy, not to soggy. The quesadilla had a crispy tortilla and juicy chicken on the inside. The wraps were equally delicious! Our waitress was attentive to drink refills and anything else we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also, the place is really clean!
