I've been to LHG twice, only stayed to eat once. The first time was about a year ago in the summer. The food was good but on the high side as far as cost goes. The service was pretty good but not exceptional. The old fashioned lemonade was GREAT! We had a late Valentines lunch with our kids here today. The food was great, it came out quick, and our waitress Adrianna was excellent and so nice.
I have very reactive Alpha Gal Syndrome so I'm really leery about eating out. Yesterday we picked up food from here and it was fantastic. I called ahead and spoke with them about my allergy and they were very kind and accommodating. I had the beyond burger and it was so good that I was worried that they had mixed up my burger with a real beef burger. My family had the country fried steak, a steak wrap, and the catfish platter. Current River Grill offers a laid back and relaxed atmosphere with great staff. The food is excellent, hot and fresh. The coconut shrimp, chicken fajita sub, loaded fries, and fried okra are all delicious. The slaw is very fresh and tasty, and the mozzarella sticks come in the largest portion ever received at any restaurant. The lemonade's are the best. Beth is amazing and goes above and beyond to take care of customers and treat them like family. Beth and her team work hard and have outstanding quality every time. One server, Joliey, is excellent under pressure and has an awesome personality. The staff is very polite and attentive, answering all questions about the menu. The place is pleasant and decorated with great photos of the Current River in all seasons. The price is very reasonable. Even when closing, the restaurant welcomed guests in with a welcoming feeling.
