Pulled up for coney and fries had to tell them my order is still on the screen 10 min later..she said ok we put it through be right out..15 min later I asked if they forgot me she said she completely forgot sorry..got food no groovy sauce for fries or mustard on hot dog..???very poor service..not the first time either.

I'm incredibly saddened to be writing this review, but something needs to be said. I work long hours so I practically live off this Sonic. However, unless the new general manager, Keniann, gets fired, you will lose my business permanently. Due to the storms plaguing us today, my niece and several of her coworkers called in for safety reasons. Most of which are high schoolers whose parents weren't comfortable with their children working while there is a severe chance of tornadoes. Keniann, being the business focused woman she is, wrote up all of these teenagers for calling in. This is unacceptable. Safety proceeds sales. None of these precious babies' lives are worth minimum wage. I am highly disappointed and am demanding action be taken.

I actually love Sonic so this review is specifically for the Sonic in Doniphan. If you want good food from Sonic, go to Poplar Bluff to the Sonic across from Walmart. They usually treat us right. Now about the Sonic in Doniphan, I gave them a 5-star review about 10 years ago because they were genuinely respectable back then, but they've truly earned this review in the last 5 years or so. I understand there are 1 or 2 good honest people working there at any given time that might give a darn but most of them are rude and unhelpful and obviously hate you for even stopping there. Many of the carhops complain if you ask questions or request anything special. Our food has been so expired and cold that the cheese wasn't melted meaning it was cold even before they assembled it. I wish I had gotten pictures and documented this. I've spoken to the health inspector about this place but I don't believe anything came of it. One time about 2 years ago one of the carhops brought new food out because our food was cold, as usual, the first time and had this dirty angry look on her face as she walked up and aggressively shoved the food at my wife's face through the truck window saying "here you go" and stormed off. Then she came to the window inside the building and started taking pictures or taking a video of us. She was almost unhinged over something that barely affected her. You would think we had insulted them or something but no this behavior is always entirely uncalled for, confusing and way more common than is acceptable. That same time when that carhop first came and got the old food and brought it in we saw 3 people through the window looking into the bag and one of them was visibly angry as if they saw perfectly good food in the bag. They got decent food out to us but the behavior of the carhop and the others that we saw through the window was so uncalled for and scary that when we got home we checked our burgers to make sure they didn't do something to them because I imagine for anyone to be acting like that in front of their customers they can't be in a sound state of mind. I don't usually give negative reviews because I get everybody has a bad day or two but this is not simply a bad day, it's more like years of dedicated bad service or terrible employees and management. They really earned this feedback fair and square with their hard work and dedication to a bad experience. We have been having trouble with the service and the food quality from this place and the manners of the employees for years. I hate to say this about a business I grew up loving and supporting, but you're better off taking your business elsewhere if you value a world in which you don't get served hockey puck-like burger patties and you value not being judged and hated on for expecting your money's worth. More than likely they are driving away more business than just us with this crap. We have decided not to go here anymore. I gave this Sonic the benefit of the doubt for years. I really don't write negative reviews very often but at some point you have to draw a line and start speaking up.
Seems as if the menu is shrinking every year. The amount of food you get also seems small. And no grilled chicken option. Don't like the fry change at all.

So it's on crappy part of town and the food was not done right and we had made two different orders one at stall one online when we called in they only brought the one out leaving the online order to sit and wait until we called back in and asked where our food was

I had a very rude and disrespectful carhop tonight and I’m very disappointed. Her name was adyson and she came out with an awful face didn’t say a word to us not hey how are you or is this what you got. Nothing. She slung the bag around to give to us and walked off with attitude she never said a single word. She then walked inside mouthing off to the other workers and yelled at one of the other poor girls working there. We waited to see if she came back out she did the same thing to the car in front of us. Not a good person to be working at fast food. Will not be returning back another evening. Come on bosses.
