Manuel’s Cantina Reviews
Hands down best Mexican food at the lake. worth the drive to come try. we will definitely be back!!!!!
Good food. We are right down the road so its nice they are close.
Thankfully, we live less than a mile from the best Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant in Missouri! Over the years we have seen Cedar Crossing change hands and change restaurant/bar themes. Not to critisize any previous owners, but Manual's is the best this place could ever hope for. We love going into Manuels. The people are very friendly. They work extremely hard to serve everyone as fast as possible. The food is very authentic. I have lived in San Antonio and have been to Mexico....read full review

Manuel's Cantina offers "damn fine" and "very tasty" 1st-class food that deserves an applause. Their salsa and queso fundito are unparalleled, and the service is amazing. The restaurant is lively and well-lit, often filled with music, sports on TV at the bar, and many customers. It provides plenty of free parking, is kid-friendly, and wheelchair accessible, making it a great spot for lunch or any occasion. Many diners praise the generous portions and authentic Mexican flavors, especially mentioning the Durango Special, which features seasoned, tender meat and the best cheese sauce they've had. The chips and salsa are also highly recommended.
Recent reviews highlight the excellent chips and salsa service, with salsa described as great. Customers enjoyed a variety of dishes, including mixed fajitas, a burrito, chimichanga, chicken enchilada, chile rellenos, and pork tamales, all loved and well done. The food is consistently delicious and affordable, with some dishes being spicy—so asking staff beforehand is advised for those sensitive to spice. The flavor is described as amazing, making it one of the favorite places in the Lake/Eldon area.
Many have visited numerous Mexican restaurants in the lake area, but none compare to Manuel's Cantina. Despite being off the beaten path, the drive is worth it. The flavor, from salsa to refried beans and rice, is extraordinary, as are the generous portions. The restaurant is considered a hidden gem of the LOZ. The lively atmosphere, quality food, and friendly service make it a top choice for authentic Mexican cuisine in the Midwest.
