Very, very good food. The Pig Candy (candied bacon) is life changing and I'm pretty sure it will haunt my dreams until I go back. The steak was on point. The burger was very good and very generous amount of fries. I took a sip of the Bloody Mary (bonus candied bacon!) and it was delicious and not spicy, which I dig. The pickle in the Bloody Mary tied the flavor together very nicely. Friendly and welcoming folks there, too, and you get to see your dinner grazing behind...
Four of us went last night for he first time. The staff and owner were very nice. However the food was not good especially for the price. The ribeye was very thin and overdone. The diner requested medium rare and it was well done. I had scallops. Nothing on the menu indicated they were wrapped in a huge piece of bacon. The owner asked me why I didn’t eat the bacon. I told her I didn’t like bacon and she told me I should have told her.How could I when it was not in the description...
This place was unbelievable!!! We just so happened upon this place by accident, and what a treat it was! FYI, it's small and reservations are reccomend. We met Ralph, the individual who took care of us at the bar and enjoyed every bit of his knowledge about cattle. We all ordered the Ribeye special with shrimp, and I couldn't complain if I wanted to! The staff was beyond friendly, what a perfect spot for a great steak on your way to the lake. 5 stars!
