Every time I try to get brisket you are out. This time it was 5 pm on a Sunday I’m not sure of a solution. But I think you should change your employee shirts to pulled pork instead of brisket?

Took my bbq obsessed mom out and was surprised she hasn't been to Salt and Smoke yet. We were served by Ryan who was our own Vanna White and walked her through the menu. We shared a plate of 4 meats with ribs, wings, brisket and more ribs. Had to try the mac n cheese which was killer. I thought I was going to have room for the gooey butter cake but I'm glad I didn't overdo it as I was stuffed. The arrangement of sauces was nice but honestly nothing really needed it. Props to Ryan again, I thought I had an issue with the order, and he corrected the order so quickly. Just really great customer service, and really great BBQ. My mom's new favorite joint ?

My husband and I ate here today, and both ordered the 2 meat combo. He ordered ribs, and the Balogna, the ribs had 0 meat on them. She asked if we wanted another slab, and he declined. We were still charged for the ribs that hade only bone and burnt skin. We travel the country for work, and eat alot of places. Very disappointed! Not sure if I will return, and we live in the area.

I ordered burnt ends. They were hard and cold. My side dish was the Mac and cheese. It tasted like spoiled milk. My second side was chili. It was literally a cup of spicy beans. They just opened up this year and the food is terrible. I thought maybe when I went to the st Charles location and the food was bad there as well that it was just a one off. I decided to give this location a try since I was across the street. Yep it is just as bad. Even the roll was nasty. I also ordered the peachy Kentucky mule at the bar while waiting on my food. It tasted like a pre-made mix. Not good . however service was great. The atmosphere is very nice. The same with the st. Charles location. That patio is awesome. But those ribs came out cold hard and crispy. I couldn't even bite it. I don't know. You guys have to come up with a way to keep meat hot and moist all day. Is it stored in it's juices in a warmer covered in plastic and foil? Maybe see what other bbq chains are doing. Not saying you need their recipes but I've never had this problem at any Sugar fire location. Send the cooks to training. The food needs to be stepped up. Get a good executive chef. Look down south. Send the cooks to training down south.

This was our one chance on our trip to get BBQ while in the St. Louis area and unfortunately we were very let down.

1. Ran out of brisket at 7:00pm on Sunday evening.

2. Ran out of the “special side”.

3. Ran out of the popovers.

4. Mac and cheese was cold and had to send it back.

5. Burnt ends were drenched in sauce.

6. Our waitress seemed to avoid us after they let us know they ran out of brisket. It also took quite awhile to get our check and all other diners had left by that time.

The positives were that the food came out fast and the pulled pork and other sides were pretty good.

We feel bad leaving this review but it looks like other reviewers had some underwhelming experiences as well.

The experience felt like Panera Bread running out of bread if I could describe it.

This was our first time at this restaurant. I’ll never go back! We had a family of 5 everyone ordered something different and none of us were happy with our meals. Ribs and chicken were dry and overcooked. I think they were from yesterday. The server never refilled our water. Very disappointed.

Everything was fantastic, except the smoked and fried half chicken. It was so dry. I couldn’t get enough tea to wash it down.

went a couple days ago to try this new location and was very disappointed. i ordered the dry wing plate and took home leftovers. didnt notice until i look at the leftovers at home but there were four large feathers on two of my wings, luckily the rest of the wings were feather free but definitely ruined my appetite. really not sure how that happens or how someone misses four whole feathers on the wing before cooking it
