“Recently, I made a wrong turn on Manchester and pulled into a strip mall to turn around, ending up in front of this restaurant by happy accident. 😊 My daughter and I both love Middle Eastern food, so we decided to give it a try. We were unaware they were still 20 minutes from opening, but the owner graciously insisted on us staying and proceeded to make us a pot of cardamom tea while we waited for the grills to heat. He was so pleasant and attentive, and the food was absolutely fantastic! One of the best dining experiences we've had in St. Louis in quite some time! Highly recommend!”

“I have gotten food here numerous times dining in, taking out, or getting it delivered many different times of the day on many occasions and it is astonishingly consistent and good no matter what. I always get either the queso birria or the Texas rice bowl. Despite the phenomenal amount of meat they put in the rice bowl, the rice is honestly the best part, especially mixed with the green and red salsa’s. Best rice I have had in my life.

A recent discovery I made was the cheesecake chimichanga, which is only like 7 bucks and bigger than I thought it’d be. Its cold in the inside and hot and crispy on the outside. Honestly, you could make an entire restaurant serving only those cheesecake chimichangas. It is by far the best fast food desserts, and one of the best restaurant desserts I have ever had. Heaven has Abelardos cheesecake chimichangas.

Lastly, on an unrelated side note, a lot of the people here leaving one star reviews need to learn how stars work. One star is when there is no redeemable qualities in an establishment. Genuine filth. If you say “Food was good, but service sucks” and leave a 1 star review, you’re either confused or a moron. Thats like 2 stars at worst.

There is a very good reason the vast majority of reviews of this place are 5 stars. Stop going to El Maguey, just go here.”

“We stopped by for a beer and decided to grab a pizza. I'm glad we did, because it was the best pizza I've had in a while. The sauce was a touch sweet, but I liked it a lot. The crust was great and the toppings were perfect. I was hoping for a decent slice, and I was blown away !!!! They have a great selection of beers on tap and the service was awesome. I can't wait to go back.”

“Even in the middle of winter, Silky’s Frozen Custard in Ellisville is absolutely worth the stop. Their turtle sundae is one of the best around, with rich, creamy custard topped with warm caramel, hot fudge, and perfectly toasted pecans. It’s the kind of treat that makes you forget the cold as soon as you take a bite. The staff is always so friendly, and every visit feels welcoming and quick no matter how chilly it is outside. If you haven’t been to Silky’s in a while, or you’re debating going because it’s winter, go anyway. It’s worth it every time.”

“We ordered from Cecil's (Ellisville) last pm.... We were not disappointed! The pizza was very good! The only way to improve would be to go back to the old ovens & cornmeal under the crust while cooking. Cecil's Valley Park continues to disappoint... Many chances & they are horrible. Imo's Twin Oaks... also horrible... No question...Cecil's Ellisville is the go-to! Run the Buy one get one for $4 like St. Peters, Please.”

“While I'll still recommend it...I did go to the Twin Oaks location tonight and they had taken the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup off the menu. 😢😢😢 I just had it there a few weeks ago. They had also taken the zucchini appetizer off the menu. Everything I went there to order is not completely off the menu. And there isn't a suitable substitute. I hope you'll consider bringing those back.”

“Small Sliders is a great find. My daughter and I don't eat a lot so when we order at Small Sliders we order we share a Two pack slider meal and and extra drink, we each get a slider and share the Awesome waffle fries they are the best I have ever had. The staff there are very good and friendly people, I can compare their hospitality to Chick Fil A.”

“Great coffee and good breakfast items. I was expecting reheat sandwiches like at Starbucks, but they were freshly made and very good. We didn't feel that we waited terribly long, but we they gave us a token for a free drink next time because of our wait. This is more of a carryout/drive thru location, so there are no tables inside, but it was cool enough to sit on the patio.”

“Great food. Only issue with this Lion's Choice is they are a little inconsistent when it comes to the service. It seems like they often have new staff so that's why orders may take longer or get mixed up.

“I stopped in today to pick up 6 bagels. While I was there waiting on my bagels, a young man walked in and the staff knew him, and greeted him. He abruptly ran out the door to catch the bus, and missed it. The staff was attentive, and sighed when he missed the bus. The young man came back in very upset, and your staff consoled him. He asked if he could get a ride to Maplewood, and I stated I could not, but I suggested an Uber. The young man stated that he only had $10, and no phone. Not familiar with Uber rides, I had asked your staff, and they explained that you have to order an Uber online, and use a credit card, or you can get an Uber gift card. I asked your staff where I could get one, and they said CVS or Walgreens. I stated that I would run over to CVS and get the gentleman an Uber gift card, but I would not be able to order the Uber since I was not familiar. One of your staff stated that she knew how, and she would order the Uber. I gave her the gift card, and your staff, and the man thanked me. Your staff was genuine, and explained to me that the man had been in a car accident with his wife, and he takes the bus to see her every day. She has significant injuries, that she will never recover from. I just wanted to express what a wonderful caring staff you have. Yes, I picked up the card, but they did all the work, and were genuinely concerned for the young man. Very nice ladies! I hope they are complimented.”

“I went to Lee's Chicken tonight because my 16 year old daughter wasn't feeling good. She was craving a chicken pot pie ?! Unfortunately the man in front of me in the drive thru ordered 4 of pot pies, so they asked if I wanted to wait the 17 minutes it takes to make a new one. Usually I wouldn't have waited, but like I said, my kiddo wasn't feel good and was craving a chicken pot pie and a biscuit. They told me to pull up and they would bring it out. I don't think I waited 7 minutes before they brought it out to me! And they have me a complimentary sprite to take home to my sick daughter! I was very impressed about how nice they were! The food was amazing and they were fast! I had a wonderful experience!”

“Nice staff, yummy smoothies,though expect a little wait time - not a big deal, just a popular place, so make sure you have 10 minutes to spare. Worth it every Friday, a large is big enough to share for two, and you get it for the medium price.”

“We had a lovely meal at the Pasta House. Initially, the background noise was low. As time passed, the crowd grew as did the noise level, and it became difficult to hear each other. Carolyn took great care of us. The ladies' room was clean - always a plus. Handicap accessible entry!”
