Steak 'n Shake (Temporarily Closed)

Good food, good price.

Consistently messing up any order I placed. Cold food on occasion. Cookies are consistently cold, stale and hard.

The service and food were great. They have upped their A game. Kudos SnS!

The staff was nice. Busy & long wait to pay with no cashier; the manager helped us out finally. They forgot our ice cream so went & got icecream somewhere else.

Nice place cheap prices but only 1 person working there that night we were there.

Good service, great prices, food was exactly what i expected.

Had the cajun meal, will get again next time. The staff is the usual over worked under staffed case. Left a good tip though, I understand how it goes.

Good greasy food, service was good and friendly,really good shakes kids eat free on all day on Saturday and Sunday..

Chili Mac from the drive through. Was surprisingly quicker than usual S n S drive through. Food was hot and I received appropriate condiments.

Terrible experience. We walked in and were seated by the cook, so far so good. There were only 3 other tables taken in whole place, it was a snowy Sunday afternoon. We waited nearly 10 minutes before the waiter acknowledged us. Said maybe 10 words and left. Brought me a cup of chili said nothing, and said nothing after I thanked him. Brought me my main dish and again said nothing, said nothing after I thanked him. By this time there is just our table and 1 other in the restaurant taken, practically empty. Never once did he come by the table, or say a single word after taking my order which consisted of "you know what you want?" I believe all this had to do with the fact I was on duty law enforcement in uniform. Seemed like he didn't want us to be there, or bothered that we were. I'll never be back, for sure.

Best place to have lunch in Louisville! Love this place...This store has gone through repeated changes over and over and over again in the last couple of years.... they have replaced all of their staff, not sure if they all quit or just left, and now are under new management so??? Other than those changes, this store is great when they are open!

Service is very slow. I believe they have a hard time keeping staff. The staff is nice, very nice, just not enough of them. The drive thru takes FOREVER. I'm currently sitting in it and have been for 20 min. And it's just me and one other car. Not crowded at all. I'm usually missing food so I always check.

Server Shane did a great job he served all the tables by himself while we were there with a positive and funny additude thank you Shane!

Steak&Shakes have really good menus. Lots of variety that's bound to please everyone in your party. But, every one that I've been to has EXTREMELY slow service. It's not unusual to wait 15 minutes, when restaurant is basically empty, before waitress comes to take drink orders. By the time you get to place your order, 30 minutes has easily gone by. Another 15 minutes you get your food. Long, & drawn out, but not too awfully bad if you have really good company.
