I'm not sure where all of the negative reviews are coming from. The fact that there is a decent restaurant within a state park should already be a big positive, if for no other reason than to not needing to cook yourself in a nature area or drive a long distance to the closest restaurant. The food and cocktails were a mixed bag, ranging from decent to really good. It was raining when we were here, with an influx of people coming inside to stay dry. The waitress was alone...
Restaurant attached to the lodge. Nothing fancy. Indoor seating is pretty basic but the deck is nice if the weather permits.Food is unfortunately just not very good. Appears to just be stuff they have premade that they just sort of heat up or slap together. Nachos were especially rough. Basically one step above what you get from a little league concession stand. It's definitely a good place to go in a pinch or if you ran out of food before your trip ends.Service was solid....
We made this our primary stop for lunch and/or dinner on a recent trip to the area. We had good food, excellent service and I thought the prices were reasonable. I recommend the ribs!
