Super Smokers BBQ + Cajun - Eureka

I usually only write good reviews, but unfortunately I have to share my experience with hopes that the restaurant learns from its mistakes. Stopped in to get some breakfast, staff was very pleasant and we were seated right away. Not too many other customers but it took close to an hour to receive our two very simple breakfast orders...one plate was brisket hash, but it wasn't really hash, just some brisket and a side of limp potatoes with two over easy eggs and toast. Brisket tasted good, but the rest was rather ordinary and barely warm. Second plate was avocado toast with over easy eggs...everything was barely warm, avocado was hard and potatoes limp and kind of greasy. It was hard to understand how two very simple breakfast plates could take almost an hour and still come out cold...sorry. (and if your avocado is hard, don't serve it)

On vacation & Papa’s Diner recommended . Ate there 3 times in 4 days. 1st day Chicken rice - yum 2nd day spinach omelet & huge pancake - yum yum 3rd day Brisket/eggs & potatoes & of course a pancake . Loved all the food

The jambalaya is spicy and so tasty. The portion was huge. The entire menu is pretty unique. Oddly the patty melt was not served on rye, but the meat was nicely seasoned and the overall flavor was great.
It has a retro vibe with music from the 1960's and 1970's.

I want to like Papa's diner, but I just can't. The service was excellent but the meatloaf was over cooked, tough, like it was over microwaved and smothered in catch-up.

I also had the jambalaya on a previous visit and it was tasteless.

As I said, I want to like it, but the food just isn't good.

I had the brisket sandwich. The bread was burnt. The brisket head no smoke flavor or smell to it like it was cooked in an oven. Definitely did not seem like it was smoked. But was pretty decently cooked. The iced tea was old and nasty took quite a while to get them to bring me something else to drink not much of a chance I will return ,

It was an old steak and shake. It had pretty good food and had great milkshakes. I think it’s not super clean and the food was really slow. We waited like 25 minutes for our food.

We had breakfast. The fries and pancakes were served under cooked. My omelet and her eggs were good. The people were friendly.

Had the standard breakfast selection. Scrambled eggs were not fresh cracked eggs- had almost no taste. Bacon was overly smoked and left a strong taste in your mouth. American fries were the highlight however, they could use more flavor with some onions. Also, server wore inappropriate”workout “ type tight and too short shorts. Overpriced and crummy food. Won’t be back.

We are here from Minnesota visiting family and we decided to stop at the Mexican spot across the lot but we were met with terrible attitudes but I’m glad it happened! This bbq spot was GREAT. The service was amazing and it was a group of our family so we all had different items on the menu everything tasted amazing. I forgot the waiters name but she was great along with the other staff.

Had patty melt and fries. Even though I like my patty melts in rye, the Texas toast was okay. Party of four was dealt with by a very proficient waitress. She went out of her way to bag and protect our left overs.
