This was one of the most memorable and engaging human experiences my wife and I have shared in the 22 years we have been together! The owner’s knowledge, passion, and love of shared time together makes the tour something so much more than “wine”. Book the tour. Try the oaked wines. Oh,and try the Firepit wine! And give yourself 2-2.5 hours. You don’t want to rush it.

My wife and I visited during our honeymoon and Shriti, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. Our knowledge of wine was not very deep but after the tour and tasting we definitely had a better feel for what we liked and what to look for. She explained the entire process and you notice the pride and love she has in her work. We had a blast and would honestly recommend Fence Stile to anyone I know. The wines are excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The story behind the winery is beautiful and Shriti loves to share her passion with people. We are definitely coming back!

Some friends and I went here for my birthday. Shriti was absolutely amazing and made sure each of us were able to try wines both in and outside our pallet. It was so cool to learn and see the science behind wine.

Went on a wine tour and it was magical. I went knowing nothing about wine and learned so much from the owner. She was so passionate and caring to meet all of our needs and everyone in our party had a blast. Absolutely worth going! Beautiful inside and out!

My sister and I enjoyed our wine tasting here after walking at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park. The staff were very kind and brought us each tasting outside. They have a wide selection of white, red, dry, sweet, and port wines. They even brought out a water bowl for my dog! The patio was spacious, covered, and serene.

We did the wine cave candlelit tasting, yesterday, based on the event description and great reviews. The cost was $23 per person and included tastings in their cave space by candle light. We were under the impression the tasting included a tour and an education on the history of the winery and the wine making process. We left feeling a bit disappointed when all we received was a tasting. After leaving my review of our experience, the owner contacted me to discuss the situation and explained there are two separate events; one is a more thorough in-depth 90 min tour and the other is just a tasting in the cave space. Apparently, I had purchased tickets for the wrong event and didn't realize it. She was very sweet about the misunderstanding and even offered a re-do of the experience to make sure our expectations were fully met; which she did not have to do.

We are now trying to coordinate with her on a new date to attend the full blown 90 min. tour. We are looking forward to hearing more about the winery and meeting the owner. I've edited my rating based on the fact we received exactly what we paid for and just didn't realize it and for the owner's efforts in reaching out to make sure we are satisfied.

I visited this wonderful place as a Harvest Host member in my RV & had the pleasure of spending the weekend at this beautiful property. My friend & I took the wine tasting tour with the owner who shared so much great information about her wine & distilling process. She tailored the tasting to the types of wines we liked & we even tasted the rum & vodka. Later in the afternoon we enjoyed some music & conversation with the other patrons. I highly recommend a visit & if you have an RV stay the weekend & relax.

I had such a wonderful time visiting Fence Stile Vineyards & Winery. This is truly a hidden gem in Excelsior Springs The candlelit wine cave tour was truly special—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Shriti, the owner, led the tour herself and made the whole thing feel so personal and welcoming. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, and she even tailored the wine tasting to my preferences.

The setting was beautiful, the wines were delicious, and the hour and a half just flew by. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and very well taken care of. Shriti recently opened a small shop in Gladstone, MO too, so if you’re in the area, definitely check that out. Whether it’s the vineyard or the shop—go visit. You won’t regret it.

The passion, knowledge and engagement of the owner is what makes the tour experience exceptional. She takes time at the beginning of the tasting to learn about what you are looking to learn from the experience, as well as your likes/dislikes/impressions about wine. From that information, she tailors the presentation and wine choices for the tasting to ensure everyone has a personalized experience. The experience she creates exceeds the tour/tasting experiences that my friends and I had when we explored in Napa Valley.

Take the tour. The wife and I were spending our first night away from the tiny kiddos and Fence Stile Winery was our final activity for the night. It was a memorable one. Shriti, the owner, gave us a personalized tasting based on our preferences and provided an extremely informative tour of the winery and wine making. The candlelit wine cave was the highlight of the tour. Tried so many different bottles. Definitely worth the trip.
