We have been coming to Ruiz for over 50 years. A family favorite on the menu is the guacamole Ruiz but during the last year the inconsistency in this appetizer has us hesitating to even order it. Staff is not mixing enough avocado into the sour cream making it inedible. Tastes like straight sour cream. To say it’s disappointing is an understatement. I love the food here. I really do. What I am not a fan of anymore is the nickel & dime they do. Charging for chips and salsa is one thing - I’m don’t like it but it is what it is. However not provide chips if I purchase salsa is ridiculous. I ordered a side of the guacamole and it was $3.25 but when I saw the little amount it was disappointing.
