This place was terrible. I placed a simple order: macaroni and cheese kids meal with apple juice and applesauce. I had to repeat myself multiple times and even my daughter looked at me like "this is a problem!" We get to the window and they hand me the wrong order. Glad I checked. They realize we had waited 18 minutes in the drive thru for mac and cheese and didn't charge me (best part of the experience) and handed me another order... which was still wrong. Instead of applesauce, it had disgusting cold fries in there. We definitely won't be back.

Edit: As of two weeks back, this store is closed. Unlike most of the St Louis Steak n Shakes closed during the franchise's attempt to recover, it is NOT listed in the mobile app as 'temporarily closed' but instead has been removed from the list.

First we had to wait nearly ten minutes just to be acknowledged to be seated. It was fun walking to the booth. My shoes kept sticking to the floor. Nasty and cool at the same time. Lol. Our server was pretty good. But then came the food. That was bad like everything else so far. We didn't even get our cookies. On the positive side, we enjoy the price. The value is always there. And they do make the best shakes I've ever had. Sadly, I won't be back!

Allways one of my favorite places. As service isn't allways the greatest, people do sometimes have bad days. But going there for over Forty years I don't think I have ever had a bad meal. Now with there $4.00 meals, you can't go wrong. If your hungry and you just past a Steak 'N Shake turn around. Don't even think about McDonald's or Burger King doesn't even compare. Remember it's a Steak Burger not a Hamburger.

Usually prompt service here, but today there was a ridiculously long wait at the drive thru. Worse yet, our food was not even hot and fresh when finally received. Disappointed.

This is my go-to for a fresh hot burger any more. There are not many fast food places offering that today, sadly. Great value selection. Steak N Shake knocks it out the park with these.

The food at this particular store was good. They were very busy and under staffed. My only issue was with our server who verbally complained to my table about how busy she was. Not in a passing the time kind of way but in a very mean and cranky way. I'm not certain that the person you should be griping at is the person who is literally going to augment your salary when they tip.

The server was very helpful. She kept checking on us to make sure we had everything. The only problem is she didnt smile at all. They took great care of us. Would given better stars if she was a little happier.
One of my closest friends decided that we would buy our dinner here. We went to the drive thru. We ordered a combo meal. It was a single steak burger on sourdough bread. It was more bread than burger. Our burgers were very small, and dry. Only the fries were hot, and was a nice sized serving. We were greatly disappointed. This is one of our choice picks for burgers, because you use real meat. Hopefully, this won't happen again. But, truthfully; you do have good food. Just wasn't the case this particular day.

My friend found flies in her chilli tried to talk to the manager and she did not have time to talk to her. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS STEAK & SHAKE. She's reporting them to the health department she has pictures and everything!

The strawberry cheesecake shake is void of both. This is not told until sent to the table. The Wisconsin buttery burger had no cheese and none was offered when asked about it
