Food at John's frosted mug is a mixture of a good country, café and bar food plus some pretty good steaks off also. With their appetizers hubs and I prefer fried mushrooms and have been trying to find some that were decent since Country Bob's closed and we have found good ones at the frosted mug. They have specials most every night in the specials are very delicious. My husband and I can walk in with only $40 between us and we can order our suppers and still have money left over. So you can't really complain about that at all. Carly usually waits on us and you can't find a better waitress than her around the area. Yes there is smoking in the bar because it is a bar. Some days it's good some days it's bad you just gotta take your chances like we do and we are non-smokers but we still go there even when the smoke is bad. John's Frosted Mug has the typical ambience of any small town bar. But in ending this review even though it is a smoking bar I'll still go there because they've got such great prices, really good food and friendly patrons.

Great food, a little smoky but it is a bar. Friday's beer battered perch is probably the best in the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth stopping in if you can stand the smoke.

Best place in town for food and drinks. The food here is your standard bar offerings but Johns Frosted Mug does it better. I recommend one of their pizzas. I always get a single Canadian Bacon and Pineapple pizza that is outrageously good and for me, enough for two meals. Their potato skins are pretty darn good too. Drinks are well made and reasonably priced.

Holy cow i can't believe we had 2 dinners and 2 drinks each and my bill was only $28!The food was awesome as well as the service. It you're a non-smoker, you might not like it.

LoL, def not for out-of-towners! Stood at the door for a few minutes while everyone including waitresses stared at me before just seating myself (no signage). After ten minutes or so of sitting there with the bar patrons, gamblers and pool players looking at me like I was a alien a young lady in pink dreadlocks attempted to take my order but I think the meth had already kicked in or was wearing off…If you like dirty everything and cigarette smoke so thick you can barely see through it then this is the place for you! I ordered pizza to go and after only 53 minutes it showed up and I got the heck out of the place. The chow was decent, the coke was a diet instead of regular.
