Applebee's Grill + Bar

Pretty busy, servers just kept making excuses and blaming others for their mistakes...even the manager brought food to the wrong table.

Ordered food and appitizer waited for 45 min. For cold appitizer the 15 min for the rest of our meal . Then had to go to the bar to get our refills . Waitress mia !! I used to come here a lot in the mid 2000s through 2010 .. totally a different experience !! Now it is absolutley horrible

Applebee's Bar and Grill is a Kansas City-bases restaurant chain. I would almost call it glorified bar food. This is not a criticism it's actually very good. For me it's sort of a comfort food that I turn to to recapture some good memories.

We particularly like their "2 for $25" menu where my wife and I can get an entree with a side and an appetizer to share. We like their spinach and artichoke dip.

This place is going down hill. We have had awful time after awful time here lately. The food takes FOREVER. what is going on in that freaking kitchen? It is over and over again SLOW. I will not visit here on that reason alone...

Look it is applebees food. What do you expect? It isn't fine dinning. I have so many menu items that I have been eating since I was a kid. (Quesadilla burger, chicken Thai tacos, etc) and they are all still as they've always been. BUT the pasta sucks- the sauce is always so freaking watery. Everything again takes so long to come out. They need to do some training because something is going down in that kitchen that is causing delays.

Service sucks! I walked in for the last time and was just greeted with "how many" - no smile- nothing. And then our waitress was way worse. She didn't ever apologize for the wait. We asked for ranch - never got any. I mean it was just one thing after another.

Came here for valentine's day. The food was horrible. They only had one table left. It was the coldest spot in the place. Won't be returning.

Usually, we have a great time here. Because it was the witnesses' first day, things were screwed-up. The. manager made it right with a discount.

This location is pretty old and not the cleanest one. I got a beer with a fly in it. Appetizers were only warm when served. Service was slow even though it wasn't packed. Food only average. Competition doesn't it better. Will not recommend this location to my friends.

The only reason we went to Applebee's is because we had a gift card. I have to say they say eating good in the neighborhood. Well, if this was my neighborhood, I would move. The atmosphere is old, dark, and sad. They haven't updated since it opened it looked like. Good thing it was dark because I couldn't really see my food. I heard of a smash burger. I thought that was just the meat smashed, not the bun. This looked like a sad burger. The lettuce was iceburge, and it was the white part of the lettuce, which isn't the greatest of taste. I asked for mayo and mustard. I got a bottle of mustard and a packet of mayo classy. The fries were cool, not hot, and not very warm. I can get a better meal at wendys, that's down the block. My wife had chicken and rice, which both were dry and didn't look very good. It looked like they just dumped the food on the plate. If this what they have to offer you to eat and present it this way, no wonder they are closing up all the Applebee's. Sorry for the bad review, but I need to be honest. We have money left on the gift card. My wife will use it to grab a drink, that's all. I used to enjoy Applebee's, but a lot has changed. Maybe you can do what Chili is doing and make a comeback. But it's going to take a big change. Good luck
