This is our “go to” for great Chinese food. We love the spicy chicken lo mein.. The Springfield cashew chicken is fabulous too. The restaurant is very nice and clean, but we usually like to bring our food home. The only neg. thing I would say, is that I would like more rice with my take out entrée. They give you a tiny tiny little thing of rice with your takeout entrée. We’re used to getting the bigger size carton at other places. I know you’ll be pleased if you try this Neighborhood restaurant out.

Hunan Garden on N. Prospect in Gladstone is fantastic. Their food is delicious and plentiful and the price is great. On a side note, the lady that runs it is the sister of the lady that runs the Boba place next door (also great). Last winter they were the only ones open for pickup. While waiting on my order I mentioned that it was impossible to get salt and our front steps were iced over. She went next door and got us a small bag of salt. They are wonderful people!!!

Yesterday I ordered Lo mein (No shrimp, No Pork, Add beef, and broccoli) with crab rangoon. I've never (in the history me eating Chinese food) had mushrooms (and so many of them) in my lo mein! I do not eat mushrooms and many people I know do not either. If I would've known there's mushrooms in the lo mein then I would've requested for them to be taken out. The crab rangoon was exceptional. Broccoli was cooked great. The beef and chicken was of low quality and unpleasant to eat.

Second time here and I picked up dinner for 6. The prices are fair, the portions are good, and the food is delicious. Plus while I was waiting on my food to cook I snagged drinks from Boba Run next door. Awesome place to snag food.

I thought I ordered Mongolian Beef, turns out it was 90% Mongolian Onion in oil with whispers of beef. The chicken potato was good though.

Was craving fried rice and glad I came to Hunan Garden! It was a classic Midwest Chinese restaurant experience! Living in California we have lots of Chinese food options but it lacks the same comfort we get here in KC. The service was very fast and attentive. The food quality is high! Def prefer from here for either takeout at home or enjoy a peaceful meal in their cozy dining room.
