Beautiful place. Service was slow. Apparently, there was a new chef that night. It caused some delays. Overall, the food was good. We will try it again.
One recommendation: get a water filter because KC tap water does not taste good. 🤢 no amount of lemon in the water would mask that taste.

One of my favorite restaurants by far. Had a new waitress named Ashley today and she was a great!! The best happy hour!
This was my second time being at this restaurant with my boyfriend. We went on Valentine’s Day of this year. Granted we were prepared for a wait since we didn’t have a reservation, that wasn’t the problem. Once we got our table (if you can even call it that) I noticed immediately that the table we got and the table next to us were supposed to be together, but they wanted more people to be able to dine. There was barely enough room to fit the appetizer plates and silverware. I had to hold my purse in my lap because I couldn’t set it anywhere. The server was incredibly rude. I believe his name was Logan. Right off the bat, I was visibly upset and I was disappointed that the server was not accommodating despite there being multiple other empty tables. This was close to their closing time as well (maybe an hour and a half before they closed) so it wasn’t very busy, we definitely could’ve been moved. We were right next to a door that was labeled as not an exit despite the patrons exiting through the door blowing cold air directly at us. While looking over the menu Logan tried to ask if we had questions but wasn’t very nice about it. My boyfriend and I just ended up ordering drinks because we didn’t want burgers or sandwiches. When we asked for the check after getting our drinks the servers attitude changed immediately. He was incredibly rude. He made conversations short after that and my boyfriend and I didn’t even finish our drinks. Honestly I felt bad that my boyfriend tipped him, the service did not deserve a tip. The first time we went was a much better experience. I don’t think we’ll be returning though, you can get better food and better service elsewhere.

Some friends and I went to eat on Valentine's Day at the Summit Grill in Gladstone. Got the fried chicken with an Asian salad and brunch and it was awesome! We also had an excellent server named Ashley D. She was so friendly and so experienced we were lucky to have her! She really helped make the whole experience really fun for my friends and I we will definitely be back.

My experience was not the best in fact very disappointing. My friend and I had dinner in the Gladstone location on Valentine's.
I ordered the dry rubbed ribeye and my sides were smashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. My friend had lobster stuffed salmon and mashed potatoes .
I asked for cheese and sour cream but waitress said I couldn't sub the potatoes unless I subbed the brussel sprouts also, so I didn't change anything.
Our meals came out all in good amount of time. My steak was tough and dry. I ordered med well but it was medium . I mentioned it to the waitress but she said it usually isn't chewy. The middle of the steak was so rare I couldn't eat it. I never ate the potatoes as well.
My friend's salmon was very fishy and said Aldi's salmon was better.... 😆
The bill was 100.00 and so not worth it.

Been here at least 10 times, but the steak frites special with peppercorn sauce that I had last night was fantastic. Favorite menu item i have tried here. Make the steak frites a permanent menu item!

I’m a regular here and absolutely love this place. HOWEVER, this experience genuinely shocked me. I usually come during happy hour, but for the first time I stopped in around 3 PM. During this visit, a woman named Stacy was extremely disrespectful toward a bartender I know and am very comfortable with.
I come in about three times a week and often bring my dog, Chloe. I was chatting with a wonderful bartender when Stacy suddenly yelled across the bar and the restaurant, “What are you doing?” The bartender immediately looked nervous and confused, clearly trying to understand what she had done wrong.
Stacy then raised her voice again, saying that drinks needed to be made there, despite the restaurant being nearly empty and no guests appearing bothered in the slightest. The bartender began walking halfway across the bar, visibly uncomfortable, and I finally felt compelled to speak up and say, “Hey, it’s totally my fault—she was just keeping me company.”
I used to be a server myself, and this behavior is wrong in so many ways. Publicly reprimanding staff by yelling across a restaurant is completely unacceptable. It creates a hostile environment, embarrasses employees, and undermines morale—especially when the employee was doing nothing wrong and providing excellent service.
I’m now a real estate agent, and professionalism and respect matter deeply to me. How staff are treated says everything about leadership and culture. I was honestly disgusted by how this situation was handled, as it does not reflect the welcoming, positive experience I’ve consistently had here.
I truly hope management addresses this, because no employee deserves to be spoken to in that manner—ever.

Service was horrible, again. That said it was the same server. Linda is rude, rushed and does not listen. The food is going down hill but the atmosphere is nice. My braised pork was very dry but the squash potatoes were great. Husbands filet was under cooked but daughters salmon salad was divine. Two guests ordered chicken tenders 1 tossed in sauce one with sauce on the side..... both came with sauce in the side and only one received their slaw...and one didnt receive theirn extra sauce ordered. The to go dessert was packaged with the ice cream in the container with warm cake causing it to melt and not transport well...the app was ordered and when it came out we were told that extra bread was brought too...we didnt order extra bread but was charged for it and we didnt even eat all of it. Those who only wanted water were never refilled and the 21 year old was not asked for id. This server is not professional nor friendly and is argumentative so you find yourself just accepting it to not cause a scene during family celebrations....happy sub par anniversary to us- problematic.

We really want to like this place, we keep trying, the food is good. However, every time we get seated we wait 10-15 minutes for someone to come to our table to greet us and take a drink order. There are servers everywhere doing little, walking by the table continously, just completely ignoring new customers. It would be fine if it was a one off, but it has happened every single time. It's obvious that we're waiting. Finally, a server apologizes, says it's not their table but will take it over and starts the ordering process. After that, things go fine. I don't know if the servers are clueless as to which tables are theirs, or if it's a game to see how long people will wait, but after each time it gets harder to return.

It was a nice experience overall. It was a little pricey for my taste though. $18-$19 burger and fries.

Food is really good. A bit pricey, 7 people on Thanksgiving was 360, with 4 soft drinks, including tip. Service was good.
