We had a campground reservation here that we had to cancel. I made multiple attempts at canceling on the website. The phone number on the website was incorrect. The number that person gave us was to a man who said the reservation was canceled and that they would refund the deposit. Yet, they're still trying to take the full cost of the reservation off my card. I will likely never stay here due to this mess. I am still trying to get in touch with the correct person to get...read full review
We have waited to go here for almost a year and we were finally able to stop in. Upon entering there was no one there to greet us. I waited 10 minutes and finally went to the bar where I was told to seat myself even though there was a sign that said “wait to be seated”. After sitting down we waited an additional 15 before anyone acknowledged us. We looked up the menu online to be able to expedite getting our food. We ordered our food and drinks. I've been here twice, and each time the owner was an absolute jerk to my friends and I. Last night I tried to alert them the water pressure was bad making it impossible to flush the toilet the owner was snippy when told that and blamed it on "too many people here". The Great American Campground & Dive Bar offers a fantastic lunch menu with juicy tenderloin and addictive crab cakes. The staff is accommodating and attentive, creating a fun atmosphere with live music. The steak sandwich and catfish are both super tasty, and the french fries are worth a visit on their own. The catfish po' boy is also a standout dish. Visitors appreciate the great service and cleanliness, and some mention that having the restaurant and bar on the grounds makes for a convenient and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is cozy, with a fire pit near the silo and entertainment that adds to the fun. The restaurant is a nice spot, especially during events like bikefest, and the staff, including bartenders and servers, are highly praised. The food, including dishes like egg rolls and signed smash burger with onion rings, is good, and the cheesecake dessert is especially enjoyed for its great flavors. Overall, the place offers delicious food, friendly service, and a cool vibe that makes it a place worth visiting.
