Great American Campground & Dive Bar

We had a campground reservation here that we had to cancel. I made multiple attempts at canceling on the website. The phone number on the website was incorrect. The number that person gave us was to a man who said the reservation was canceled and that they would refund the deposit. Yet, they're still trying to take the full cost of the reservation off my card. I will likely never stay here due to this mess. I am still trying to get in touch with the correct person to get them to stop trying to take money from me.

We have waited to go here for almost a year and we were finally able to stop in. Upon entering there was no one there to greet us. I waited 10 minutes and finally went to the bar where I was told to seat myself even though there was a sign that said “wait to be seated”. After sitting down we waited an additional 15 before anyone acknowledged us. We looked up the menu online to be able to expedite getting our food. We ordered our food and drinks. Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later and then we waited for our food. Our food took 45 minutes and upon getting the jambalaya I ordered was so spicy that there is no way someone could eat it. I enjoy spicy foods, but this was insane. My son‘s meal (shrimp Mac and cheese) that was supposed to come with a breadstick and salad did not come with it. My husband food was a shrimp Poboy and it was ok. I shared my concerns with the waitress and she really just said she was sorry but didn’t offered to do anything about it. I unfortunately had to leave there and go get fast food after paying $65 plus tip. Yes of course we still tipped. The atmosphere was very upbeat and nice, but in the end, we were definitely disappointed and probably would not be coming back.

I've been here twice, and each time the owner was an absolute jerk to my friends and I. Last night I tried to alert them the water pressure was bad making it impossible to flush the toilet the owner was snippy when told that and blamed it on "too many people here". The short chunky male bartender was rude, short with us & acted like he was way too overwhelmed by his job. I will say the food was good, but small portions and expensive for what you get. Between the rude service, the owner being a jerk each time I've gone, and expensive food.... I will probably never go back. There are way friendly establishments around here that gove far better service.

Awful service combined with menus that didn't properly describe entrees made our 1st experience at this place a disaster. Server was short with us and unapologetic about the menus being incorrect. A manager was nowhere to be found after 3 or 4 issues we had with the server who constantly interrupted us when we were attempting to describe the issues with our meals. The table adjoining ours explained to us they were having similar issues. All of this when the restaurant only had 4 tables occupied, I can't imagine what the service is like when they are busy. Was excited to try a new place and give it a chance, but we will not be back and will refer guests to frequent other places instead.

The staff was great and so was the burger.

Had a couple great meals while staying in the area. Steak Sandwich and the Catfish were both super tasty, staff was cool to hang with. Do NOT sleep on their french fries, honestly worth a trip themselves! Want to visit again when it gets to be a little cooler to sit around the fire pit near the silo and crush some cold beers.

Cool place. Good food and great atmosphere. The catfish po’ boy was on point. Service was a little slow but Bikefest was going on and they were very busy so I understand.

This is the nicest dive bar I've ever been to... clearly they care a lot about cleanliness! The bathrooms themselves are so much fun... the decor is amazing! The food was so good and can't wait to come back :) our waitress was super nice
