Authentic local cottage cooking with distinctly German-American flavors. Prime rib respectably mid-rare, hard to find in rural midwest. Corn could be better possibly from a can in heart of corn country. Green beans were delightful, nostalgic German country kitchen favorite. Smoky brats lean toward Bavarian. White wine sauce tasty, could be more intense of same flavor.Decor a rustic treat. Truly antique and interesting not kitchy. Succeeds where many of this ilk fail.
The Folks here are like Family you couldn't ask for more excellent service or more authentically delicious food. The Best Country Fried Steaks anywhere smack your Momma Good ? or somebody else's Momma?☝️
We stopped here to try something different and we were happy with our choice. Prices were reasonable and the building had charm. Not a big place but a little hidden gem. They dont have salads just an fyi for those who love them!
