Concert Hall and Barrel Tavern

Delicious food. Great staff. Wonderful old building. Breaded pork tenderloin was perfect and my wife loved the catfish.

The food was good, but they don't allow substitution of side dishes, so I was only able to eat the pork tenderloin and cabbage. It felt wasteful for something that would have easily been accommodated. I would have been fine paying a surcharge.

Also, there is smoking allowed on one side but it wafts to the non-smoking side.

Was doing a bar crawl with my boyfriend in Hermann and this was the second bar we hit. I was particularly in the mood for a Moscow mule and the young gentleman at the bar said he couldn’t make one because the bar didn’t have the right ingredients which was disappointing. He was friendly and patient while we ordered something else. I got a Vodka Soda, and my boyfriend got a Rum and Coke. Neither tasted great, but the alcohol pour was good in these… maybe too strong LOL. The environment wasn’t too rowdy or loud, and you were able to talk without blaring music in the background which we both liked. There was ample seating and the place had a cute charm. It was an overall average experience, only thing I could say would improve it would be a more stocked bar! Would probably come back again.

I’d recommend going anywhere else in hermann! The owner/bartender was very rude and unprofessional! If you don’t tip her the first time, expect it to come out of your next purchase ! I tried tipping her the next time and she was even more rude! Denied my tip and somehow my beer magically cost more. I pride myself on being a good tipper. When I told her she was being rude all she said was “I’m the only bartender here”. That doesn’t justify being unprofessional! I was nice all the way up till that point. So I’ll give you a tip! DONT DO BUSINESS HERE! I was also on the side walk after that and I guess she saw me through the window and again told me to get off her property or she would call the police. They don’t own the sidewalk?

Ordered the German brats' dinner. Worst food I have had. I spent two years in Germany. So very disappointed in this meal.

The bathrooms need a serious cleaning. Food was decent. Great server.

Burger was bright pink inside (to a point I couldn’t finish it), fries looked and tasted like gross cafeteria ones, dishes were not properly cleaned (had stuff floating in my glass when I received it and a fork was dirty), my family member claimed that tap water was used for the water served (again I didn’t want to drink out of my glass because of the unidentifiable things floating). Overall, the entire group made a unanimous decision that the food was subpar and overpriced. I would understand the conditions if it was cheaper, but the price tags on meals of this quality are what drop my rating so low. The service was adequate and atmosphere is alright if you ignore the screaming and cheering at the bar.

We didn't eat. We found an open table quick enough, but it was at least an hour before we would eat. We ordered beers then left. The server was very nice and apologetic.

The atmosphere was great and the bartender was amazing! By far the cheapest place in town for drinks. Amazing place.

Went for a beer while in town for a quick vacation and liked the place immensely. When I think of a bar, this place looks like what I imagine. No nonsense, no frills, nice people, cold beer.

Nice local restaurant and bar. Several German staples. Fast and friendly service.

We had lunch there today. I had a tenderloin sandwich and onion rings. Both had bread that seem to be 50% pepper. they were so spicy i couldn't finish my meal. I give them a one star strictly on thier poor choice of cheap breading on their food everything else was great.

bartender was very rude! We were here having a girls trip and she caused a scene saying we were too "loud" because of my deaf friend. very embarrassing.

Everything about the place was awesome except for the bartender who was extremely rude. Yelled at stuff to get off their asses and do something! Just very rude and unfriendly. Luckily we had a different waitress who was awesome or we would have left!!
