I love going into Lainee's. I love coffee and have been to many coffee shops throughout the US and Espresso Laine always has a special touch. They give you a chocolate covered coffee bean as a little treat to go with your coffee which is worth any upcharge for a modification request. Make sure you eat it right away though. ;)
This is a small business that supports the local town, and if you're upset over an upcharge for a milk alternative, you should stick to your corporate stores.

Oliver’s in the ‘howliday’ spirit! 🎄🐾 Our first stop: Espresso Lanes. He’s ready to eat, drink, and be merry, although no puppuccinos here, and pups have to stay in the side seating area, which made for a bit of a juggling act to grab coffee 😅. Scarf on, spirits high, still worth the trip!

This was the third time coming here and a bad experience twice because the owner was there. First time I ordered a breve latte. When I went to pay she charged me $4 for the half and half alone. I have never been charged anywhere else except Starbucks where it’s .50. Third time I got an Americano to avoid the upcharge and my husband got a scone. They put some kind of chocolate thing on the top of your cup. When we got to the table the whole thing had melted on my lid. I took the lid down off to drink it. His scone was raw on the inside. I told him if he complained she would probably deny it. When we were going to leave I asked my husband if he could get another lid. He came back and said the owner told him to clean it off with a napkin. Seriously? $4 upcharge for a latte and no new lid because they melted chocolate all over the top? She gave me some long excuse for why she couldn’t give me a new lid including I was supposed to eat the chocolate first. I told her that was nasty and it was. Very unpleasant not customer friendly place.

Excellent coffee shop with a cozy vibe. One of the few places to get some sort of breakfast in Hermann during the week. Glad this place has been here for 10+ years.

Hmmm, what to do for breakfast. None at our Inn. And surprisingly not many breakfast places in Hermann. To top it off, we were here on a Monday and Tuesday. And lots of places close on Monday and Tuesday. Down the way from our Inn is the Espresso Laine coffee house. What a cute little place. It’s a combination curio store and coffee house. In a side room is an order counter staffed by several very pleasant folks. We ate there on two occasions. First we shared a bacon burrito. Actually quite good for the mid-West (we're used to New Mexico breakfast burritos smothered with Hatch Green Chile). Filled with eggs, potatoes and lots of bacon. Not spicy, but tasty. The fellow at the desk gave us a small container of salsa. Pretty mild stuff. But added some taste. We needed just a small ‘something else’. They had a number of pastries and we chose an orange cranberry scone. Our second day we shared a quiche Lorraine. Very good. And to top if off we had a maple pecan scone. Yum. It was all quite tasty.
Nice place with a friendly staff and great koloches. Cheeky merchandise and kids toys as well. A ton of coffee options also
