The older lady with red hair who checked us out was extremely rude and off putting. We accidentally walked the wrong way in the store and she snapped at us. We brushed it off to just misinterpreting her tone but later she forced us to buy a carmel candy because my nephew and I held it and manipulated the shape. This would have been fine if she was kind and didn’t have such a rude tone. The only reason I’m giving some stars is because she said she will put up a sign. By her attitude I don’t believe she will. Everyone else seemed very nice and the shop is very cute. This was our first interaction with someone in Hermann which is really unfortunate when we traveled to be here.

The manager in there was very rude my daughter asked for a pup cup and stated that she didn’t mind paying for it just ring it up with her coffee. The young man at the counter wasn’t sure what they charge for it ,he asked his manager and she got rude and said that they don’t do that because it’s not cost affective , my daughter said , I didn’t ask for anything free , I was trying to buy a pup cup, the woman charged her $5 for a pup cup ,and said that my daughter was stupid ,we actually live her in Hermann , we aren’t tourists,I say this to say that maybe don’t call customers stupid tourists and you won’t run off customers , we now go to stomping grounds, it’s on the same street and just as convenient

Excellent across.the board. We felt at home immediately. Both the coffee and baked goods were superb! The staff and owner were engaging and fun! They also remembered us the 2nd day we came in. We will be back on our next visit to Hermann, MO!

Came while travelling across the country with 3 friends. I had an exam to take and it was advertised online as free wifi. I came in and asked for the password and got it. Halfway through my test where I was being recorded via webcam, someone came up to me and asked if I was buying anything. I said no, but tried to explain my friends would. She proceeded to explain that the wifi is for customers only and if I was not going to buy anything then I needed to pay them $3. My 3 friends all proceeded to order a drink and a food item each. I thought that would be acceptable for me to use the wifi then. I finished my test and got off their wifi within 25 minutes of accessing it. My friends and I all proceeded to leave and the worker from before told me that I needed to pay the $3 before I left. Overall felt very uncomfortable and lied to about the free wifi.

Visited Espresso Laine for a fine tea and coffee and discovered a delicious pumpkin muffin (and gluten free); shared ideas on coffee with the staff and purchased the Black & Tan beans custom ground to my preference. Wonderful staff & atmosphere.
Fantastic coffee! Great place to check emails and enjoy a coffee! A must stop!
