Went with a group of girls and had amazing service and did some tastings this is a really great place to see
Visiting Herman for the first time and Fernweh was by far one of our favorite experiences. Our bartender was amazing and went above and beyond in answering our questions questions. If you appreciate good craft cocktails and amazing service you have to try Fernweh. The owner was there and took the time to talk with us. It was so neat to listen to him and our bartender talk about the history and share so much with us. We didn't get dinner since we arrived a little later, but the dessert was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back!
A local distillery w several options. Bourbon, rye and vodka are the options. All are unique to the area.

We stopped in here after a church dinner for a glass of wine and it was wonderful. They have a great selection of wines and other liquor. They make a few varieties of their own bourbon, too. My husband and a friend of ours had a whiskey flight, and they enjoyed that.
We had a couple of food items and they were yummy! Their other food items on the menu also sounded very good.
The atmosphere is laid back and it was decorated very nicely!
We will definitely be back!
Nice atmosphere. We're not drinkers, so we can't rate the alcohol. Most of the menu consists of brisket dishes and after we waited 30 minutes to be seated, we were told they don't have enough brisket for us. It was 615pm on a Saturday. My son was able to order the brisket mac, see photo before he took his first bite. Hard to find any brisket. I got the heaven and earth mash potatoes. The bowl was warm, but the potatoes were cold. My wife got the sweet carrots they tasted like they were frozen before cooking (chewy). They also told my wife they were out of the salad dressing she ordered.
We discovered why we had to wait soo long. As people left, it took about 20 minutes to clean and prep a table for the next guest. The servers carried the dishes away three or four at a time while doing lots talking and walking in circles. It was all kind of humorous.
We have been to this restaurant a couple other times and had a good experience. Tonight was not the same. The menu was not great. The chili was terrible and the mashed potatoes were instant. I could not even eat them. The server said they were not instant, but no chance they weren’t. The “Famous” Chicken Alfredo was not good either. Service was slow and not very good.
Food was good, atmosphere was fun, service was okay.
Yum! Great martinis! Very attentive staff. Loved their Dilly Willy Martini with pickle juice & olive brine. Enjoyed the Kartofflepuffer (potato pancakes) and fresh hot pretzel sticks with cheese. Oh!! Gotta try their Stroopwafle coffee float! Great spot to visit while in Hermann.
The rudest hostess. They would not let our party sit together. The food was only okay. We have always come here in the past and loved it. This was the absolute worst experience for everyone. Would not split the checks. Just down right hateful employees.

The best burger I’ve ever had. Great service, great atmosphere, great food!
We came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was so delicious. The salmon was the best we have ever tasted. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Will always remember the good food and good times.
The menu does not have many dining options. I ordered the shrimp tacos. The shrimp are small, lettuce, diced tomato and a drizzle of remoulade and only about 3 shrimp per soft taco. Not filling at all, definitely not worth the money. The chicken sandwich was ok, comparable to Chick fil a. The breading was not seasoned. We also tried the brisket plate, only two pieces of meat. I was impressed with the food, I left still feeling hungry.
Poor Service
My wife and I came into the distillery to eat at their restaurant. We were nicely greeted by the hostess that promptly seated us with menus. The bartender came over shortly after seating and took our drink orders. After reviewing the menu for about 10 minutes we were ready to order. This is where their service failed miserably. As we continued to enjoy our cocktails, multiple waitresses walked by our table. Not once did anyone say that they would be right with us. 25-30 minutes later after finishing our cocktails we decided to leave since they had no intention on waiting on us. We said something to one of the waitresses that walked by us that nobody has taken our order and we’ve been sitting for quite sometime, she asked us who our server was to which we said that we have no clue. At that point we paid the bartender for our two drinks and proceeded to leave greatly disappointed with the restaurant operations. The manager caught us leaving and said that she can put our order in right away. Unfortunately we were so disappointed at that point, we left. Poor service.
We had great food and great service! Our server was Angela. The drinks were so good. Good Old Fashion, chocolate martini, and Holy Fog was awesome. We had the Smoked Brisket plate that was so good and so tender. I highly recommend the upgrade to the spinach salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Brisket Grilled Cheese and Smokehouse burger was also good.
