I love these kinds of places. Old flour mill cleverly converted into a restaurant and brewery. We were in on a Monday so it was a bit slow but that's the best in my world. Got to talk to the bartender about the place more. He was super nice and made suggestions what to check out around town. Huge distillery and brewery vats. Impressive to see. Food was good. Huge outdoor area.

Tin Mill's beer is underrated in comparison with the overrated Hermann's wine. They brew the best Helles, Vienna Lager and Marzen Bier in Missouri!

We went on a Monday at noon. Not busy so we sat in the brewery. We shared a pretzel, a brat and a beer and it was $33.
While we were waiting for our food a gentleman brought a pretzel to the bartender telling her it was too hard and dry to eat. Our food shows up, and guess what, another hard dry pretzel. And the bun our brat was on was broke all the way across the bottom and we got around 1 tbsp of kraut. We mentioned the pretzel issue and they took the old one and replaced it with fresh. I'm not sure they should be charging amusement park prices just because they're in Hermann. We made the 2 hour drive because we read an article about them. We enjoyed the drive more than the food.

The atmosphere was great, service was great, just a bit disappointed with the food menu, their on line menu was nothing like what they had to offer. One of the reasons we chose to go there and was disappointed when it wasn’t available. What we ate was good but a bit pricey for what we got.

First off, they don't do flights! With all the unique beers they have, that surprised me. They will let you try most anything before you buy a pint. I had the Brown ale & the wife an imperial stout / we would both order them again. The bartender wasn't Mr. Personality although it was a Sunday evening close to closing time.

We visited the restaurant tonight. The food and service didn't quite live up to the pricing. Granted, they were busy. The waitress was nice and it seems she did her best. But, they had 3 big parties in the other room that were taking up all their kitchen and serving staff. We were there to celebrate ourselves. After about an hour, as we were about to get up and leave, our appetizer (Arincini...5 small fried risotto balls on a splatter of marinara sauce with Parmesan) finally arrived. It was okay...just would have been nice to have a bit more sauce for $15. The salads came about 5-10 minutes later...they were good. The main course came out about 10 minutes after that. I had the schnitzel...it was good. My wife had the carbonara...which seemed like it was prepared quickly with no flavor and the sauce wasn't creamy like it should have been...just kind of runny. Hopefully, our visit was just on a bad night. But, for our first visit to Hermann, it was our least pleasant experience overall. 🫤

Brew pub in an old historic building. with better than average beer and a good selection. we did not have food in the brew pub. We had their Helles, Pilsner, Midwest coast IPA, and dark doppelbock , all true to their styles. Very friendly and personable bartender.

Nice brewery in an old mill building in the heart of Hermann. Enjoyed the Cherry Sour, Wheat, and West Coast IPA - all with good notes; nice tartness to the sour and the West Coast was on point. Bar food menu included a sauerkraut brat and burger which met the need. Friendly staff and plenty of indoor or outdoor space to chill. Worth a visit or two or three.

Went to Hermann from Ballwins for a musical and stopped in for a drink and meal. It was great. Solid German dishes including potato pancakes and Schnitzel. Flight of beers with the Hefenweizen the best. Watermelon sangria cocktail for the Mrs. With a distillery next door and great service, great spot for foodies in a unique building . Thumbs up!!
