Today was Black History MO. Special at Charlie D's for Five Dollars very very disappointed no fish all potatoes could have went to Walmart and got a bag of potatoes for less ? than that not happy at all driving that far just for potatoes.

We were so excited when Charlie D's came to Independence. The fish was always fresh and clean with none of that black mercury. We love that the sides are homemade. Especially the yams and macaroni.But I noticed for the last few months,there has been a change in staff. It appears this establishment is no longer ran by African Americans but by Iranians which is taking an affect on the flavor of the food.Last week, my fish was mushy and my yams was not sweet. I took my order back and the manager remade my order. It will be a while before we return to this location.
