“The food was great and the service friendly. There was a kid who was brand new who handled a rude customer well. The kid working jokingly called out “A-aron!” to let the customer know the food was ready. Aaron then proceeded to chew the kid out saying he was older than him and that he was being disrespectful. Shame on him for picking on an easy target. I told him I would have laughed, and maybe the guy hadn’t seen the video.”

“Torri and Gabriella are both awesome servers! I came in for only a drink or two. These ladies talked me into the Chicken Fried Chicken. That Som'beach was HUGE! And delicious. These ladies got get me grabbing dessert too. Came in for the "Scenic Views" and a Knotty Burnett.... Ended up leaving with a full belly and a big smile. Thank you ladies! I'll be back SOON.”

We tried their pork tacos and the pork was full of flavour and spiced deliciously. You can also tell all the ingredients are fresh. A great place to try if you’re in the area or heading to the stadium as it’s not too far from it.”

From the honey butter with warm bread to the wonderful butternut squash dish, ending with carrot cake to go. The presentation was done fabulously.But what really stood out was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The cozy yet upscale decor with a western theme. Loved it. From walking in the door to finalizing the bill the service was perfect. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and lined with amazing art. The staff and our waitress were friendly. The highlight was the food. Ever since moving to the Midwest, I felt that the Italian cuisine options were pretty abysmal; however, Cafe Verona’s plates were divine. Everything from the hummus, to the Cesar salad, to the pasta, to the tiramisu was absolutely perfect. Plus, for everything we got, the bill was surprisingly fair - we spent far less than expected, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in.”

I paid for extra shrimp and got extra shrimp! These shrimp are cooked perfectly and they are huge! They didn't mess up any part of my order which is a problem I have often and with a family full of allergies this was the biggest plus for me! I will definitely be ordering again! Next time send more soy sauce packets though!”

“We had the pleasure of catering our wedding with Yings Thai. We were blown away by Tomas and the absolutely delectable food! Tomas had excellent communication and went over the top to make sure our day was special. He helped us plan the menu and we couldn’t have been happier. The wedding guests all raved about the food throughout the night. The egg rolls and crab Rangoon were the absolute bomb. The Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and stir fry stole the show! We loved how our guests could start with a mild version and increase the heat as they saw fit. Tomas was so thoughtful and posted all the possible allergy concerns and made sure peanuts were on the side for those with an allergy. Tomas and Yings Thai made our night special and for that we are incredibly grateful!”

“Alright so 3 things:1) This crew has to handle the Independence population and that's already a nightmare, however,2) They do a damn good job. Once everything is good, everything is GOOD. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, added lettuce and tomato. Not only didn't have the veggies but the bacon was missing. However,3) Sometimes things happen. I've had my order messed up a couple of times but I never even worry about it. I just let them know what happened, flash a receipt, and it's taken care of without question. I've worked restaurants, mistakes happen, it's all good. The speed and response with a "no problem we'll take care of you" attitude really matters. Especially when you're in Independence. Thank you all for feeding me fairly, treating me well, and knowing your audience. Doing it right.”

“service was bad,after we ate and got are ticket,waited 25 minutes for a waitress to collect are money,and we wanted to get a piece of pie,while we had 3 waitresses standing at the end of the bar having a tea party,not a one would wait on us when they were standing no further than ,3 feet away from us,so we walked out,then here they come acting like we did something wrong because no waitress's would wait on us after 25 min.and they wasn't packed,the 3 waitress"s just were just havein a conversation like they was on break! the waitress that waited on us we never seen her no more till they came and got the money from the car,she was very mean and hateful,she wouldn't let us get a word in edge wise,to explain how nobody would wait on us for 25 min or longer,couldn't even order a piece of pie,she just kept running her mouth,she wasn't no where to be found when we were read y to leave ,it was wrong on your employees part,love your food have ate there several times and have never had this kind of service before,it was very un unperfessional on and very disrespectful the way the waitress approached us,and it was there fault.you don't treat customers like this,very disappointed,at that point .and the waitress didn't smile or ever come and ask if are food was alright or if we needed any thing else,she acted as if she had a hang over.we did not deserve this kind of rudeness.”

They took time to explain the menu to me, make recommendations based off of what I traditionally like to drink, and even sincerely asked how my morning was going. “Shocking as it is, this was my first time at Hi-Boy. It was good! The burgers are huge, though my daughter and I found them just a bit spicy. I liked it, but the picky kiddo refused to eat half her burger. The fries are good, with a bit of a coating, but my tots were a smidge underdone. They use fresh diced onions, and a lot of them in the burger. If you want to add condiments, you'll want to flip your cheeseburger and open the bottom bun, because the top one is glued on with cheese. No kid meals with toys, which I like, but my child was slightly disappointed in. The burgers are the flattened kind, but they don't use that as a way to use less meat. They have fried pickles and onion rings, as well as shakes, but I didn't try those today. Atmosphere is clean and slightly updated old- school diner.”

Not so loud at that time of day that we didn't have to shout to each other to talk. The food was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were good. I got the chicken quesadillas (plenty big plate) and a margarita, and my tab was $16.25. No, I did not go there at the busy time of day, so I don't know what kind of crowd would be there otherwise, but that's what we planned...a nice, cozy, comfortable place with good food, good drinks, no unruly children, where we could could catch up. I would go back again, so I definitely recommend it.Parking: It's like a strip mall, so parking was no problem at the time of day we were there, but I'm sure it can get crowded when it's busy.”

Not bad, but certainly not fancy by any means (and probably not worth the $8 or $10). I'd like to see them upgrade the ice cream brand, as they currently use Belfonte. “My husband and I decided to stop for an early dinner at Cafe Verona after touring the Truman Presidential Library and had the most fantastic meal. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and lined with amazing art. The staff and our waitress were friendly. The highlight was the food. Ever since moving to the Midwest, I felt that the Italian cuisine options were pretty abysmal; however, Cafe Verona’s plates were divine. Everything from the hummus, to the Cesar salad, to the pasta, to the tiramisu was absolutely perfect. Plus, for everything we got, the bill was surprisingly fair - we spent far less than expected, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in.”

“I absolutely love coming to Los Cabos! I always get the chicken chimichanga with the sour cream sauce and it’s sooooooo good. Always stuffed and super cheesy! Fun atmosphere and the waiters are typically on top of things.”

“Last night, our very large group was celebrating a 30th birthday party. Dinner time was busy, and manager Lizzie stepped up to make sure that our party was well taken care of. She checked on us multiple times, and we had a lovely time. Service was great, wings were tasty. Would definitely recommend this location.”

Would have given 5 stars for service and overall rating. BUT I did not get my Taco Sauce that I requested for my Taco Pizza. “Such a kool lil place , the bbq is excellent, had some smoked brisket , smoked sausage an their equal to none spicy cole slaw. Better get there early on the weekends if you do not mind waiting.”

“Alright so 3 things:1) This crew has to handle the Independence population and that's already a nightmare, however,2) They do a damn good job. Once everything is good, everything is GOOD. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, added lettuce and tomato. Not only didn't have the veggies but the bacon was missing. However,3) Sometimes things happen. I've had my order messed up a couple of times but I never even worry about it. I just let them know what happened, flash a receipt, and it's taken care of without question. I've worked restaurants, mistakes happen, it's all good. The speed and response with a "no problem we'll take care of you" attitude really matters. Especially when you're in Independence. Thank you all for feeding me fairly, treating me well, and knowing your audience. Doing it right.”

“We had the Ancho Salmon and the Baby Back ribs... both were delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. Brooke, our waitress, was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Worth a return visit!”

“Visited this place as an out-of-state worker based on a recommendation from my hotel staff and I am beyond happy I went! Staff were amazing, best coffee place I’ve had in a long time. They took time to explain the menu to me, make recommendations based off of what I traditionally like to drink, and even sincerely asked how my morning was going. Ultimately I got the Golden Eagle and it tastes delicious! I will be coming back every time I’m in town now!”

“My Servicer was very good, is was a bit too cold for me. Prices was a little too high for my taste. The place was nice, looked clean. I would not put all the shrimp and lobsters, and so on together, and ask me the give my opinion.”
